About this deal

Die Hard is presented on 4K UHD courtesy of 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment with a 2160p transfer in 2.

Brighter colours are punchier and pop better, while darker areas of the image have a solidity and definition the Blu-ray can't match.

Facial complexions also appear slightly warmer and more natural, exposing pores and wrinkles during close-ups.

Updated daily and in real-time, we track all high-def disc news and release dates, and review the latest disc titles. Fine detail and texturing are excellent, though with the usual amount of anamorphic softness around the edges of the frame.Whilst, at the time, they were reasonably well-received - particularly if seen through the lens of them being a jaw-dropping upgrade over the old DVD - five years ago people were crying out for remasters, at least for the first three movies, if not just the first film alone. Die Hard is expert in its writing and direction, with quality that extends right on down to each and every performance.

English SDH, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Spanish, Cantonese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Mandarin (Simplified), Norwegian, Polish, Swedish. The holiday action classic rides to the top floor of the 4K Ultra HD tower with an excellent HEVC H. The story sees New York cop John McClane (Bruce Willis) flying to Los Angeles to spend time with his wife Holly Gennaro (Bonnie Bedelia) over the festive holidays. Add to that John McTiernan's economical direction and a breathless set of stunt sequences that still hold up, and Die Hard stands head-to-head with the absolute best action flicks of the '80s.Facial detail is impressive, with no signs of waxy over-application of noise-reduction, and none of the clean-cut Terminator 2 4K controversy even, retaining (or, more accurately, reapplying) a fine layer of natural grain to lend further texture to the piece.

The sequel was originally rumoured to have been considered as a potential follow-up to Schwarzenegger's 1985 hit Commando. Let's keep in mind that Disney has not commented on these rumors themselves yet so all this could be just rumors but if true they have really lost their minds in my opinion.

Bruce Willis, Bonnie Bedelia, Reginald VelJohnson, Paul Gleason, William Atherton, Hart Bochner, James Shigeta, Alan Rickman, Alexander Godunov, Bruno Doyon, De'voreaux White, Andreas Wisniewski, Clarence Gilyard Jr. It all began with the fact that the guy came to the city to his wife, was at a Christmas reception, and ended in a real war . I hope Disney does license out their catalog and smaller companies like Arrow and Shout do get a chance to make proper discs for those movies to enjoy. And to be perfectly honest, I can't imagine a hemispheric option really offer much improvement without also feeling largely artificial.
