About this deal

A clip on the rear of the UltraSharp 24 sees the monitor locked securely into place once you attach the stand riser, which slots neatly into the stand base. I could reduce the brightness to prevent my eyes from hurting, but then the darker areas are no longer clearly distinguishable. Additionally, this device comes with a very comfortable stand, which enables you to set up your monitor just as you want it. The IPS panel did not have any leaks, but its low contrast ratio made the screen look less vibrant and grayish.

Dell 24 UltraSharp U2419H LED-Monitor 61cm UltraSharp

The Dell U2419H isn’t a gaming monitor and it has a limited refresh rate, so you can’t expect a blur-free performance. So if you're looking for a mid-range hub display that doesn't load itself down with unnecessary features, you won't find a much better choice. Useful tip: Due to the number of usb ports, I’d recommend anyone getting an external hub (not the cheap dongle kind, get a decent hub like Ankers USB-C hub with extra hdmi and USB ports. The layout is clean and logical, and it won’t take much time for you to memorise shortcuts, despite the old-school four button approach. The main menu option (second from right) lets you alter brightness and contrast, change input sources (DisplayPort, HDMI, Auto Select, Reset Input Source), pick from a number of colour presets (Standard, Comfort View, Multiscreen Match, Movie, Game), while Color Temp lets you manually fiddle and try to hit 6500K, and Custom Colour lets you manually tweak the RGB levels. The design makes the Dell U2419H ideal for multi-monitor setups since you have less plastic sitting in between each screen.

Inside, you’ll find the power cable, a DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable and a USB Type-A to Type-B cable for expanding your device’s USBs. The Dell U2419H doesn’t meet its claims in image quality, starting with a gamut coverage of only 93% sRGB. Overall: Great looking monitors, easy to setup tho I struggled with daisy chaining so just connected them to my hub via hdmi.It could be that if I used a colorimeter and calibrated my P2419H, I could get the same experience as in U2419H, but the colorimeter costs 16000, or 1000/per day on rental, but DELL charges the extra 8k for factory calibration. The Dell UltraSharp 24 Monitor U2419H isn't perfect – max brightness and black levels are underwhelming – but overall build quality, viewing angles, and ease of use make it a great value for money option. At first I thought it was dirt but when using a soft brush and a lint free wipe it didn't clear, it seems to be the pixels on the display. Obviously, the big button on the right is used to power on and off the U2419H, while the other is the quick selection keys. I work in graphics, and wanted a reliable but sharp and clear screen with good color saturation and text clarity.
