What was so fun was that we'd just visited my brother in Manson, WA and we landed at the Wenatchee airport and the very first line of the book mentions Wenatchee and later mentions Leavenworth, which was another fun town that we visited. Lighthearted and refreshing Dear Santa is just a special story that brings a smile to your face and provides a beautiful escape for a few hours. But unfortunately all too soon her Christmas vacation comes to an end and she must go back to her job in Seattle.

Getting them to use their fingers for activities not only helps them learn how to manage their pens and pencils but also strengthens the muscles in their hands. Not even carolers or Christmas cookies can cheer her up--but Lindy's mother, Ellen, remembers an old tradition that might lift her daughter's spirits. If you’re already a Debbie Macomber fan you’ll enjoy this but I think if you’ve been contemplating giving her a start, this is an excellent starter book.

Character Development Setting: Throughout the story, locate the towns and states on a map of the United States. This book is a good introduction to descriptive language and is repetitive making it a useful book for guided reading. These printables are perfect for preschoolers just learning to identify things that are different about two very similar pictures. I have never met a Debbie Macomber story that didn’t pull on my heart strings and DEAR SANTA did not disappoint.Lindy arrives, and soon after her mother shares an old shoe box with Lindy, containing some of Lindy’s things, including her letters to Santa. My only objection to his books is why does it have to be a successful present of an animal each time. Lindy had thought she had a wonderful relationship until she found out that her boyfriend had been cheating with her best friend.
