I have tried over and over again to get perfectly cooked, fluffy white rice, but alas I either undercook it and end up with crunchy rice or I overcook it and end up with rice burnt and stuck to my pan. However, if this sounds too complicated, then you should stick with using a slow cooker because it’s more straightforward and requires less attention. You can make instant rice / or instant mash potatoes so very easily……For rice follow the same recipe EXCEPT : No butter and no salt. Sure, you have to check occasionally (45 minutes), but that’s nothing compared to cooking it on the stove.
