The softness of this fragrance is what makes it so versatile, as it allows it to be worn pretty much all the time.This gives an interesting effect to the initial scent of chocolate, making it stand apart from most other chocolate fragrances. When this fragrance starts to dry down, though, the fruits disappear, making room for the notes of vanilla and praline. Hints of patchouli, chocolate, and fruity notes can be detected, as well as an interesting undertone of truffle.

In my opinion, Chocolat Amere was the best out of the four, so they should have kept producing it… But I am guessing that the choices made were not at all random. Such a scent is perfect for the colder months, where it will easily pierce through the lower temperatures. Although it is nowhere near as powerful or expensive-smelling, there is a resemblance to the caramelized vanilla-musk accord in Tihota.According to Fragrantica, the main accords are vanilla, warm spicy, chocolate, sweet, powdery, musky, cacao, amber, balsamic. The composition combines a rich flavour range of sweet shades, in which each note complements the other, not overloading it, but emphasizing it. This fragrance opens with a slightly sweet scent of plum and strawberry, creating a fruity sweetness. The chocolate unveils itself with either bitter and fragrant cocoa beans, or noble dark chocolate, or even chocolate with orange. There's some sort of dry nuttiness (reminiscent of brazil nuts) as well that I've noticed in other synthetic chocolate scents like Somethin' Special's Chocolate Drizzle.

My perfect perfumery chocolate is Xocoatl by Fueguia 1833: A truly fabulous fragrance; luxurious, deep, dense, enveloping and soft. Scent: Thierry Mugler Angel is a fantastic fragrance that perfectly embodies the term sweet gourmand. I usually wait until the end of my review to talk about preformance but I think it needs to be said up front that this is a powerhouse BEAST of a scent. Because of the sweet, gourmand scent, this fragrance doesn’t really fit in well with a formal occasion, but casually it’s perfect. It is even harder to get a hold of the luxurious Durrat Al Arabia by Arabian Oud, but the lovers of chocolate should try and test at least two of the three fragrances in this series.

Indeed, it is pleasant as perceived by others, better than many other more complex chocolate perfumes. When this fragrance starts to dry down, a strong base of sandalwood presents itself, leaving you with an overall beautiful fragrance.
