Dioralyte Sachets have been carefully designed to contain a balance of essential body salts for your well-being and glucose (sugars) to help you absorb the body salts and water efficiently.

Dioralyte contains glucose and salts (these are Sodium chloride, Potassium chloride and Disodium hydrogen citrate). Simply dissolve one sachet in 200ml of water for a rehydration therapy which helps replace the vital fluids and body salts you have lost through diarrhoea. You are at the greatest risk of dehydration when too hot or too dry and when you have limited access to water, or need more water than usual. Dissolve contents of one Dioralyte sachet in 200ml (approximately 7 fluid ounces) of drinking water.

Infants aged 3 months to 1 year – should be given Dioralyte Relief Blackcurrant ONLY under medical supervision. For infants, and where drinking water is unavailable, the water should be freshly boiled then cooled. Adults (including elderly) and children: One sachet after each loose motion (watery stool) up to a maximum of 5 sachets per day for 3-4 days. To be taken into account in pregnant or breast-feeding women, children and high-risk groups such as patients with liver disease, or epilepsy. Fast and effective rehydration treatment to help replace the loss of fluid and body salts lost when you have diarrhoea.

If you are suffering from intestinal obstruction, diabetes, kidney or liver failure, or are on a low potassium or sodium diet, ask your doctor or pharmacist before using Dioralyte.

Suitable for adults and children of all ages however you should seek medical advice before using Dioralyte™ and Dioralyte™ Sachets for children up to 2 years. Depending on the age and weight of your child, a reduced dose of Dioralyte or Dioralyte Relief should be given. Suitable for adults and children over 3 months however you should seek medical advice before using Dioralyte™ Relief for children aged 3 months to 1 year.
