The story follows two female high school students, Yuu Koito and Touko Nanami, and the relationship that develops between them as they learn more about themselves through their experiences together. The revelation for Maki and subplot for Koyomi might be my personal favorites of the show, each bolstering integral portions of the show’s three overarching plotlines. Having always loved shoujo manga, Yuu waits for the day she gets a love confession, hoping to experience all the feelings which are described in shoujo mangas.

She approaches Touko and the two begin to bond, before Touko suddenly confesses feelings for Yuu, surprising her. for some more Shoujo Ai relationships to exist within the anime/manga medium, there is no real meaning to anything that takes place in this story. Later, Yuu invites Touko to her house to study, where Touko worries about how Yuu feels about her before exchanging contacts with her sister Rei. The designs of many of the central characters were all decided upon before the manga started its serialization.
