About this deal
Semana Santa is one of the most important festivals in Spain, especially in the southern province of Andalusia. Catalan is the primary language in Catalonia, Basque is spoken in the northern Basque region and Galician is used in Galicia, northwestern Spain. The weather starts to cool off and the cities begin to empty, so October is the perfect time to visit Spain if you can’t stand the heat or the crowds of summer.
The warm weather also brings fun festivals, like the Feria de Abril , a spring fair in Seville that showcases Spanish culture and has endless entertainment.Later you’ll fly to Madrid, the capital of Spain, where you’ll visit some of the nearby historical cities such as Avila and Segovia, home to the world-famous Roman aqueduct. La Passió, a performance of "The Passion of the Christ," takes place every weekendfrom mid-March until early April in the town of Esparraguera, Catalonia, near Barcelona.
Finally, you can find a couple of festivals in January like Three Kings Day on the 6th which is accompanied by celebrations around the Balearic Islands, and the San Sebastian Festival which is famous for residents taking to the streets with their Tamborrada drumming!
Co-authors Nelson DeMille and his son Alex have created interesting characters, though Brodie might be the type that appears more in fiction than in the real world: About to be handcuffed by a pair of armed men, he “suddenly spun around and delivered a ball-busting kick, under the guy’s ballistic vest, and into his non-ballistic balls. Seville, the capital of the Andalusia region, holds the festival and the week-long celebrations include lots of food stalls, flamenco performances and street-wide parades.
