This album has a unique feeling that it gives the listener that in all honesty can only be described as euphoria. This version has the speed shown as 33⅓ RPM with the text Made in UK immediately underneath on both labels. My LP sounds not totally bad but a bit lifeless and muffled sometimes and on "Given The Dog A Bone" it seems there's a Gremlin sitting in my Amp and messing with my Midrange.

Two years later we made the move to our present address, 35 The Headrow, where we have remained ever since. Aussie presses are very very good, and they generally did not stretch the life of the stampers to far, because the population base was so small, they were not compelled to. I think this press has a few quality issues at least from judging by other reviews that have similar issues.Brian Johnson will never be quite the lyricist nor vocalist compared to Bon Scott but he does a damn fine job paying tribute to the legends demise. Will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it.

As an example of the difference in the fonts, the capital "A"s on this release have a flatter/broader horizontal at the peak. I have to admit that I am biased in this review as its my type of music, but even so, I would recommend it to anyone, no matter if they just want it for casual listening or otherwise. Produced by Robert John "Mutt" Lange, the album was released on 25 July 1980 by Albert Productions and Atlantic Records. On this release, the font is broader, so that the centre text spreads closer to the edges of the label on either side than on the other version. I do have a better setup than Vasthope and considerably more vinyl so that makes me an authority on this.The band supported the album with a yearlong world tour, cementing them among the most popular music acts of the early 1980s. These sort of generalisations are a bit dangerous, because technology changes the parameters considerably between the introduction of stereo in the mid sixties to the digital take over in the late eighties, but I think that they are pretty accurate for 1980. The inner sleeve shows black-and-white live pictures of the band members, except for Brian Johnson, who was new in the band at the time and hasn't performed yet with AC/DC. The songs were more focused and less hectic - songs like Whole Lotta Rosie would have no place on a record like Back in Black.

Shortly before the recording of their follow-up, lead vocalist Bon Scott died after a night of heavy alcohol consumption. In 1979, they paired with producer Lange and recorded their international breakthrough, Highway to Hell. Since its initial release, the album has been reissued and remastered multiple times, most recently for digital distribution.
