The first known Chao Merchandise are the Chao Plush from Sonic Adventure 1, Dreamcast. There were two series of plushes. In the first series was the Neutral Chao! This was obtained from the UFO catcher machines in Japan and in Sega stores, or via the online Sega store if you lived in the US. (Remember, internet usage wasn't that common in those days!)

It's nice to see some diversity. This looks to be an official set image for a line of Sonic Adventure figures - but unfortunately, none of them were ever released. What a shame, as they include 3 diverse Chao figures! A NiGHTS Chao, a neutral Chao, and a neutral run. They even appear to have animal parts! The origin of this image is unknown, and it seems to be the only image of this set available. I'm confident more must exist, hopefully in better quality so we can really take a look at the level of detail.

Sega released the animation Chao In Space, and with it, a collection of really cool merchandise! This t-shirt depicts the overall story of the animation. You may swap your Character on the board for one of your other Characters at any time on your turn.Any time another player uses a Power-up Ability that causes you to drop or give Coins or when you need to pay rent, you must do so. Choose one of your Characters to start the game, and place that Character Token on GO. You'll only ever have one of your Characters on the board at a time, and players can never have the same Character on the board at the same time. You must use Donkey Kong on your second turn then flip him facedown. On your third turn, flip both Character cards faceup, and you may choose to use Donkey Kong or Mario.
