About this deal

Every movement during sports is a challenge for your earbuds fit to keep delivering great sound. For anyone who likes to listen to music while exercising, it's important to be able to concentrate fully on the sport without fear of the earbuds slipping out of place. As all ears are unique in shape and size ‘one fits all’ is not secure, so we have focused on providing a fully customisable solution for maximum wearing comfort and a secure fit.” says David Holm, Sennheiser Sports Product Manager.

But when it comes to overall performance, these earbuds have zero latency across the board when watching movies or videos on your phone whether you’re using an iPhone or an android devices… and when it comes to audio codecs, the Sport have support for SBC, AAC, and APTX. The same as the entry level CX’s. But for comparison sake Sennheiser’s more premium earbuds have support for SBC, AAC, APTX and APTX adaptive. But if you want to take advantage of APTX, you do have to be an android user. Sennheiser Sport True Wireless connects to your phone, computer or audio device via Bluetooth and has a 10-metre range. I tested these out by wearing the buds and walking away from my phone and there was no breakup or dropouts. The ergonomic design of the SPORT True Wireless was developed precisely for this purpose. The earbuds can be customised with a choice of ear adapters in three sizes and four different ear fins to withstand any workout. With an IP54 rating, the SPORT True Wireless is dust and splash resistant and can also easily withstand sweat, runs in the rain, and even workouts at the beach.Rated to international standard IP54, the Sennheiser Sport True Wireless earphones are resistant to dust, rain and sweat, making them ideal for workouts. Interchangeable fins and earbuds ensure a secure fit, letting you concentrate on the workout, without worrying about the earphones falling out. It's all positive and we haven't even touched on the sound quality, which is extremely refined and sophisticated for the money. Highs and lows are composed and controlled but dynamics aren't sacrificed. The Sennheisers present a detailed soundstage with impressive scale and authority. They're a little pricier than other wireless in-ear headphones, but if your budget can stretch, your ears will be rewarded.

It would also be nice if I could carry the extra tips with me in the otherwise bulky charging case. The Sennheiser SPORT True Wireless' case looks like a little treasure chest, which – as far as I can tell – serves no purpose whatsoever. It feels hollow and light; surely, Sennheiser could've found a way to allow storage for an extra set of tips? The issue is that changing miniature ear tips continuously is not the most convenient thing to do. They roll around, are soft and squishy, slip out of your fingers etc. Do I want to fiddle around with ear tips before I go for a run? Not really, but it's nice that, in theory, I could. I won't, but the option is there. C) They should have decent sound quality – The SPORT True Wireless has excellent sound, better than some more expensive headsets This pair isn't the first to try this approach, but few among those that have tried see success—the recent Sony LinkBuds are one example with an open design and subpar audio. Here, the open design is less consequential—it doesn’t ruin the audio experience, though the earbuds also let in far less outside sound than that Sony pair.

Sennheiser’s sportiest truly wireless buds sound fantastic and fit well, but the adaptable acoustics feature is underwhelming

On the like-it-less side… the size of these was just too big for a woman’s ear, in my opinion. Even with the smallest tips and fins, these were not comfortable for me personally, even for short stints. Other with bigger ears, or the guys out there might find they have a different experience. One-tap Google Fast Pair and multipoint technology (pair to two devices simultaneously) are MIA. Sennheiser Sport True Wireless review: Verdict With the Aware eartips and the matching EQ mode turned on in the app, the sonic experience is solid—the open design leads to a boosted bass response, and outside noise is audible (though not to the extent as with a more sophisticated mode that relies on ambient mics to amplify the signal). The highs on the SPORT are pretty standard sounding and they don’t provide too much detail. However, they also don’t detract from the sound in any way. I rarely heard them distort or become harsh, and sometimes heard some surprisingly nice reverb tails and spatial details. Like everything else, the SPORT sculpts the highs to emphasize more essential ranges for the core sound, which is important. But ultimately, the Sennheiser Sport are better used with just one primary device. Unlike with other earbuds out there that can be connected to 2 devices at the same time, or that can hot swap between devices in their respective eco system, or other earbuds that will jump from one device to another, if another device asks to pair with them… if you want to switch devices with these earbuds, you either gotta do that through their app, or you gotta put them in pairing mode every single time. So these aren’t the most power user friendly earbuds out there.
