About this deal
The Bike Computer Mount is an integrated mount that is compatible with your Garmin, Powertap/CycleOps Joule, CatEye, Mio, or Magellan computer. Most seatposts have the diameter printed somewhere near the bottom of the post. You'll need to remove the seatpost from the bike frame (mark your existing seatpost height with a bit of tape before you remove it so you can replace it easily), and look for a number like 27.2, 30.9, or 31.6 (etc.). That is the diameter of the post. Compatibility: The stem is compatible with both road and mountain bikes and 1-1/8″ and 1-1/4″ steerer tubes, making it suitable for a wide range of bike frames.

With the main spring fitted, my unit weighed 538g. While 20mm of travel may seem limited, the effect is instant and noticeable. While there is no direct comparison with other suspension stems, other forms of suspension are aimed towards the same market. Alternate method: Use a fabric or paper measuring tape (or print one at https://printable-ruler.net/ ) and measure the circumference of the steerer tube. You will need to remove the compression cap and loosen the two pinch bolts to get access to your steerer tube so be sure you are comfortable in doing so and then reassembling properly. It works in a subtle way, squashing sudden bumps and effectively smoothing incessantly rough surfaces. I found the recommended set-up ideal, but you can tune it to suit your preference.Take control - customize your suspension feel to float over obstacles and maintain control over rough terrain Suspension Stem Features if you want that softer ride, I wouldn't waste time with a flexstem reinvented, I'd look at short travel front forks. Or just fatter tyres at a lower pressure, which, as the reviewer points out, smooth things out too

Redshift ShockStop PRO Suspension Stem – Verdict
Once you determine the length of your existing stem round to the nearest 10 mm and choose the closest match. A preload adjusting plug in the base of the seatpost tunes the suspension. Numbers one to five are printed within its thread pitch and relate to rider weight and the spring(s). Turn the preload plug to the required position and fit the post.
