The most notable differences are found in the Nintendo 3DS versions of all games, which are completely different. These versions have unique stories and gameplay that are more focused on platforming. In the first two games, players had to "load" two figures, and were able to swap between them at any time using the touch screen until a new Skylander is loaded to replace them.
