About this deal

Testing side by side, I notice many differences. Elixir is spicier in the opening, and the drydown is still a little spicy and has the licorice/amber thing going. For me, Elixir is very limited in use and only in cooler/cold weather. s review captures my experience as well. This is NOT blind buy safe (even though that's what I did) and--though I enjoy many if not all the notes Fragrantica lists here--I personally cannot stand Asad. Even after the fabled and much ballyhooed maceration my nose finds this fragrance more than a little off-putting. Like wearing-half-a-bottle-of-Drakkar-Noir-on-a-sweltering-hot-day or an-overdose-of-Axe-in-a-very-tight-space levels of off-putting. More than once I've questioned if the bottle I have contains the same juice as what others here discuss. I finally got to try this in a discount perfume store and what I'll say is If you're not a fan of Pure XS by Paco Rabanne ... run .. I've smelled Dior Sauvage Elixir only once around the holidays and this reminded me way more of Pure XS at least from one spray on my hand. The difference is it's a TINY bit more wearable. Regardless I'd be vicious if I got this as I didn't care for Pure XS to the point I gave my brother that fragrance after 3 years of hardly touching it. Asad is an extremely appealing frag for me as its almost a perfect spicy winter marvel. As for its Suavage Elixir similarities, I can say its literally the mid-down of Elixir as someone had said, so its a lot more tonned down and resultantly more wearable but make no mistake Elixir, even with a louder (read - harsher) opening and more complex profile, somehow smells slightly higher quality as one would expect, but that difference is not evidently perceptible and definitely not justifiable considering the vast price gap.

I have to retract my previous review which was written after wearing in a sterile AC'd environment. In the heat of summer, this stuff turned into a straight up yankee candle on my skin. Yankee candle vanilla plus intense nuclear, scratchy, oudy, trigeminal-sensation-causing norlimbinal in the base makes this a chore to wear. I have grown to detest these norlimbanol perfumes for some reason (which is both weird and funny, because I love all sorts of blatantly synthetic aromachemicals including the trendy akigalawood) and this one has just as much as the previous worst offender: Frank Olivier Oud Touch. Having tested all the Oud Moods simultaneously, Elixir has nothing in common with the other three, and at no point did I perceive any similarities. The perfume does not excel in projection, which stands at a moderate value. It is pleasant to the people around us and not offensive at all. Instead, the duration is excellent, and I can feel it after many hours. As far as the season is concerned, I am comfortable wearing it on late autumn days and evenings when the first chills of winter are upon us. After the initial dismay, I conclude that Elixir has turned out to be a beautiful fragrance that takes time to understand and then gives pleasant sensations. It takes half an hour for the perfume to settle on the skin, change direction, and release its true soul. In the heart, the creamy notes of sandalwood are revealed, interacting with the oud's animal ones and those of soft suede. The purely animal side of the oud dampens the raw aspect of the leather quite a lot, making it appear gentle, smooth, and velvety. Now the fragrance no longer scares; it is like a tamed wild animal, a tamed horse.I'm coming in here with no experience with Dior Sauvage Elixir but of course I have the EDT so I have nothing to compare it to except Dior Sauvage EDT. Short version: Asad is a less heavy, less refined, but way more flexible fragrance than Elixir that is worth giving a test run if you like Elixir. Also, if you don't want to pay for or can't afford Elixir, Asad is literally 95% cheaper. The drydown is a bit different from Elixir but the opening smells exactly like elixir, and with probably my favorite looking bottle in my collection (it's simply beautiful) I don't think I have any cons apart from the drydown being less spicy than elixir.

Lattafa Oud Mood 100ml Eau de Parfum - Rio Perfumes Lattafa Oud Mood 100ml Eau de Parfum - Rio Perfumes

So If you're used to medicinal leather scents you'll appreciate this more than loathe it. It also might need an additional ingredient to soften & brighten it more, perhaps layer it with a light & airy floral, fruity or sweet gourmand scent to balance it out if its too overwhelming on it's own. I don't hate it but i don't love it neither. I knew what i was getting into before blind buying it bcos i did enough research about it. Yes it's challenging at 1st especially if you're not a big fan of leather scents...but it's definitely like for me. I'm sure i'll appreciate it more the more often i reach for it & spray it on. Recommended dose ideally for spring, autumn & winter months is 1 spray...it's beastly. 2 sprays might take it towards the edge of overpowering cloy if you wear it in public or at work. Stay tuned for further developments. We'll see how i feel about it after a few more wearings in different situations...will keep you updated. OK so I am indeed re-reviewing Lattafa's Asad. Now I still get the overly pineapple smell but honestly, I now get more than it. I am not sure if it was maturation or what but originally, I did not get anything at all similar to Drakkar Noir (which many say Sauvage Elixir smells similarish to) nor do I get Dior Sauvage. Asad isn't a bad fragrance, but I am one of those that gets the sweet pineapple. When I've said this, many question if I got Lattafa Qaed Al Fursan but alas I have this bottle. It does have the gold ribbon/sash that the bottle shows in the main picture. Perhaps this is a batch variation issue?

5 Rekomendasi Parfum Oud terbaik

Selain mengetahui top notes, mid notes, dan base notes. Anda juga dapat membaca review parfum. Dengan begitu, Anda bisa memiliki bayangan tentang parfum oud yang akan Anda beli. Overall, Asad is dry and dusty, and resembles Aurelien Guichard and Nathalie Lorson's This is Him Zadig & Voltaire. This makes me feel like a serious trustworthy man with all of my goals in life on a straight line and I'm not here to waste my time. Quite the contrast to the vibe of Sauvage EDT where it feels like you're a Chad who'd rail her in a parking lot and then drive away on your Honda Civic without her. But the zingy spicy freshness is definitely the same for both of these perfumes but that's where the similarities end. The spiciness here can be offputting if you aren't accustomed to it as it is not a typical vanilla forward frag by any means; and it is not distinctly sweet either. Now more importantly, if you try it (and you definitely should) then make sure you try on SKIN and not on a strip. I say this becuase I tested this on strip and I was sold; however, testing today on skin (thankfully still from a sample) it brings out much more spiciness that feels a tad bit cloying in the opening and messy on my skin and turns slightly putrid-spicy on the extreme dry-down. This will obviously not be the case for everyone and it smells great on clothes otherwise. Performance is great, lasts for 6-8 hours on my skin (continues as a faint skin scent after for a longer time) and projects loud for the initial 2-3 hours. I seriously don’t know how Lattafa supposedly cloned Sauvage Elixir with whole different and unrelated notes! Makes me think they lie a lot about their notes.

I like everything about this fragrance 🥰... it's spicy, sexy, manly, fresh, with a smooth rich dry down, very decent performance, and VERY cheap! It's a winner no doubt about it! ... I wonder what's going to happen after 2 or 3 years if the affordable, cheaper Middle-Eastern fragrances continue to improve and come closer to or even better than niche or designer fragrances in terms of quality and with a cheaper price tag. Top notes adalah aroma yang pertama kali tercium saat Anda menyemprotkan parfum dan hanya bertahan beberapa saat. Aroma top notes biasanya merupakan aroma floral ataupun buah-buahan. The bottle shape and design isn't too bad either especially if you remove the overly gold bow tie ornament. It's has a nice weight to it and it doesn't come across as cheap. If Lattafa changed the gold out for a matte silver or even brushed bronze they'd have a more mainstream product on their hands.Depending on your taste or scent preferences of course, I recommend Asad even as a blind buy especially for the price. This is actually better than some of the mainstream fragrances that so many people hype up or go on about.
