About this deal

The air valve of this product is pretty good. I think it's the reason why Intex Explorer K2 very easy to inflate and deflate. Inflating or deflating this product can be done in 5-10 minutes. Furthermore, the valve isn't prone to leaks even when it starts to wear. I also love the fact that Intex placed a measuring scale. The measuring scale is useful because it prevents you from underinflating or overinflating Intex Explorer K2. Answer: We took 3 of them on the north coast of Kauai, 4th grade by ocean kayak, on a three-day trip. They worked absolutely great. In June, we will take them to Tahiti. YES, they can handle the ocean. Nimble on water because of its streamlined design. Because of this feature, it makes paddling very easy. When you start adding the paddler’s weight, gear, like a cooler, etc., it’s easy to get carried away, and extra weight can add up in a hurry. The added weight will slow down the kayak and make it more challenging to maneuver. Accessories

Question: How dry is this kayak when used in flat waters? If the kayak is used in cool weather, would clothes stay dry? Or is it a swimsuit boat? Intex Explorer K2 is the second most beautiful Intex kayak for me. Its appearance resembles a banana boat a bit. That said, it's a joyful looking kayak that kids will love to have. The Intex Explorer K2 comes in a thin transport bag which doesn’t make a robust impression. Nevertheless, the bag should be sufficient for a short transportation and is good for storing the kayak at home. The bag contains the boat and the complete accessory. It’s quite surprising that so much accessory is already included for such a low price. Paddling is immediately possible without buying anything extra. Transport bag for the kayak The kayak comes with a paddle and a pump. The Explorer is slightly wider at 36 inches wide than the Challenger, which is about 30 inches wide. If you are interested in a wider kayak, the Explorer wins this side of the argument. Drainage hole– The Explorer K2 has a drainage hole in the stem, which (of course) must be sealed when in use. But it helps to make removing excess water and drying of the kayak easier during breakdown.

Not only do you have a streamlined design that makes rowing and moving through the water a breeze, the extra barrel, and inflatable beam to add extra support to balance and rigidity make this kayak very easy to use for beginners. If you’re heading out for a long day on the water, you want a kayak that is built to withstand all that you can throw at it. What’s more, you want a kayak that is not only easy to paddle but versatile in its uses and easy to transport. There are two carrying handles in the Explorer K2, one at the bow and one at the stern. This feature makes the Explorer easier to handle and transport when inflated or folded. Pricewise, theIntex Challenger K2 Kayak is more affordable than the Explorer K2. Intex is famous for their inflatables and has been making inflatable pools, toys, air mattresses, and related products since 1966. The innovative company has more than 30 patents, with cutting edge design, valves, pumps, and attention to detail at every step. Their products are sold in over 100 countries around the world, and their kayaks are certified internationally and meet the standards of the US Coast Guard and the German TUV.This inflatable kayak is tough and durable since it’s made of high-quality, rugged vinyl, which is resistant to UV damage and punctures. The Challenger K2 also has a sporty design with some jazzy graphics. Because of the kayak’s bright green and blue colors, it is noticeable even from afar. Video Review of the Intex Challenger K2 Kayak However, if you want to go alone, you can remove one seat to increase the seating area. You can also take out both of these seats if you want to lay down in the kayak. In perfect weather conditions, this is the best way to chill out with your friend or wife in the middle of a river or lake. Capacity/Storage - Unique selling point One of the biggest concerns with any inflatable kayak is its durability. The Intex Explorer K2’s vinyl hull is resistant to impacts with blunt objects and abrasions. My canine companion isn’t the calmest paddling partner, but she didn’t make any scratch marks, scuffs or punctures on our outings. I’ve also pulled the Explorer K2 up on sandy beaches with no issues, although I wouldn’t get into the habit of dragging it around on shore.

It is a lightweight kayak that is very easy to inflate and fold. Some experienced kayakers can inflate this kayak in less than 10 minutes. When folded up, it easily fits inside its carrying bag. Moreover, it only needs a small space on your shelf or garage.Intex managed their task of making the K2 Explorer the perfect introduction to kayaking by emphasising on its ease of use. Just behind the seat, there are two removable rod holders, allowing the angling enthusiast to make the most of their inflatable kayak. Anglers will appreciate the extra inflatable seating pad that can be used to raise the seat, giving them a better casting height. This feature is also great for smaller kayakers who benefit from the extra reach. If you’re still on the fence about whether to go for the Intex Explorer it might help to have a look at some of its main competitors in a similar price range. Below are a couple of options that we’d recommend looking at before you make a decision. Sea Eagle 330 Inflatable Kayak In addition to the adjustable footrests, Intex Excursion Pro 2 is fitted with removable rod holders and a mount point near the bow. This is suitable for carrying a Go-Pro or phone to record your trip, or a fish-finder or adjustable rod holder on a fishing trip. Long Service Life – Its rugged construction and high-quality materials will make it last longer than other inflatable kayaks.
