About this deal

Both units are percussion massagers, meaning that they use rapid, repetitive pressure to work out your muscles and boost circulation. They also both have powerful brushless motors and offer three different speed settings. However, their percussions per minute (PPMs) differ. The Hypervolt Go offers 2,200, 2,750, and 3,200 PPMs. The Mini 2.0 offers 1,750, 2,100, and 2,400 PPMs. Since the higher the PPMs, the more intense the massage, the Hypervolt Go is the more powerful option. Battery Life But perhaps the Bantam comes in handy where it matters the most. It performs rather impressively. It has the same 10mm amplitude – impressive for a mini gun – but adds power to it. Unlike the Theragun mini, we didn’t have any mixed feelings with this one. It doesn’t have any clear advantage(s) over the others. At least the Theragun gave us the unique design and a 12mm amplitude. We’ll share some points about how we feel:

More to read See our Theragun mini 1.0 vs 2.0 comparison. On the last two photos, you can see how smaller the new mini 2.0 is Vs. the mini 1.0, when compared to Ekrin Bantam and bigger Hypervolt Go 2 The charger is a normal wall charger, which doesn’t help for convenience in our opinion. However, we noticed Hyperice included 3 adapters for their international clientele. Anyone who travels a lot will enjoy the small design and light weight here of 1.5 pounds. You can easily toss this massage gun in your bag and hit the road. We sometimes like to think that we’d be forgiven for suggesting that this compact gun is an improvement on the full size Renpho R4. First, we’ve not seen that design before the mini 1.0. It’s interesting to hold as well. But it’s not our favorite hold. We’re just not sure if this kind of handle is the best for a massage gun.Unlike the Go 2, the latest version of the Theragun Mini actually connects to a smartphone app via Bluetooth. The Therabody app allows you to access a library of wellness routines and helps to guide your massage with smart technology. According to reviewers, “it is useful for beginners” because it offers “automated guidance and vibration settings for various uses.” Color Options We love testing and talking about massage guns and we’ve heard, not infrequently, from our readers, about how sometimes it’s not easy to choose between Theragun and Hypervolt devices. Massage therapy is a great way to help your sore muscles recoverfrom running, lifting weights, or even a long day at the office. While going for a massage from a masseuse is still a solid way to work out any kinks, that can be pretty pricey over time. With a percussion massage gun like the Hyperice Hypervolt Go 2, you will save money in the long run while still experiencing a lot of the same benefits as you would from a massage therapist. The two attachment heads that come with the Hypervolt Go 2 allow you to focus on both deep tissue and surface layer issues. The three speeds are also great since they each have their own benefits. Quite obviously, when you shop for a mini massage gun the size and weight are two very important factors. You should know that although most massage gun brands tend to call small massage guns as ‘mini’, there are two main types as far as size is concerned.

Available colors: White | Speed Settings: 2,200 / 2,750 / 3,200 PPMs | Dimensions: 5.5 by 5.5 by 2 inches Shape & Design Even though you may not get as intensive massages as the regular sized guns, it’s important that your choice will serve your purposes just as well. Here are key things to pay attention to as you make your choice: Some reviewers find the Hypervolt Go easier to hold due to its defined handle, while others prefer the triangular shape of the Theragun Mini, especially when it comes to massaging hard-to-reach spots. As a result, this category is a matter of personal preference. Price It’s also the lighter massage gun between the two weighing in at just 1.1lbs. This makes it even more portable. However, the low stall force negates any impact those two aspects have on the gun. We would’ve loved 30lbs. of stall force on this gun to fully utilize the other qualities. We may have to wait for the next Go. However, if you are a new customer (you don’t have any of the larger ones), this is probably not the best. Hyperice is looking to upsell the new Go 2 to their existing clientele. We measured the decibel levels and got 45dB (first speed) and 55dB (third speed). Our testing environment and noise measurement of Go 2: indeed, it’s a quiet massager. Here’s a sneak peek into 5 of the recommended mini guns after our testing, along with the two previous generation guns, which we think you should avoid. To be fair we always had mixed feelings about the first generation Theragun mini, which is still available at a reduced price. On the one hand, being a premium product it has some unique features. We’ll call those:

Hypervolt Go 2 - Portable Massage Gun

The Go is small, portable and compact, but it’s a tad shy from being the perfect mini-gun. Compared to mini massage guns like the Ekrin Bantam or the Addsfit Mini Pro, the Go is noticeably larger. Theraguns on the other hand have a different shape but somewhat similar measurements. Elite measures 9.5” x 6.7” x 2.8”. Prime is slightly smaller than Elite. Pro is the largest of the 3 by about 0.5” more. Number of attachments: One or two attachments on any device just isn’t enough for us. Get a device that has at least 4 attachments. This gives you more options to massage different parts of the body. Would we buy the Go 1 or the Go 2? We’d rather have the Go 1 because it’s discounted now. Or we’d choose the Bantam where we win even more. It performs better and is way cheaper than any of the two mini Hypervolts. It may be a tiny massage gun but Dyna Mini comes with 4 attachments unlike Theragun Mini. They offer a lifetime warranty, just like Ekrin, and have a superb customer support system – we had a smooth buying experience.Theraguns also look very similar and unlike Hypervolts, you may need to note a few things if you are going to identify one from the other. If you’re looking for more attachments or more speed settings than the Hypervolt Go 2 has to offer, you might want to explore some more advanced options. Hyperice has maintained a tradition of producing extremely hushed devices. It’s the one aspect we can never complain about. The new Hypervolt Go 2 is very quiet. Overall, the Go has good ergonomics for a mini massage gun. However, it’s nothing we haven’t seen before. A lot more devices on the market with even better ergonomics.

Hyperice Hypervolt Go 2 Review | Golf Monthly

With full-sized guns, Hypervolt 2 – entry-level – better corresponds with Theragun Prime. Hypervolt 2 Pro can correspond with Theragun Elite given their almost similar stall force. Or, more specifically, it is somewhere between Theragun Prime and Elite.

Weight

What makes it a bigger bummer is that there’s 3200RPM on this gun. With a gun revving that fast, you want to feel all the vibrations. However, if pressure is applied, you don’t experience these vibration because the device slows down drammatically. In our opinion, that statement is outrageously blasphemous and the gods of stall force, we’re sure are not impressed. They also haven’t changed their tradition of including the wall charger with international plugs – we appreciate this from Hyperice. Two attachments, international plugs… and yet again no case or pouch included.
