After finishing the build the fun doesn't end there. Out of all the different grades of Unicorn that Bandai has released throughout the years, this is still the one with the most accurate transformation based on the show from Unicorn mode to Destroy mode and you'll see just how awesome this kit is. Build quality: New line Gundam series kits – espeicially HG – mostly use new engineering techniques that Bandai developed for all of their kit line as well, and that means the inclusion of C-clip joints for the limbs. With that, some parts may feel a bit fragile, but Bandai’s plastic are quite sturdy, but do be careful when putting the joints together and apply reasonable pressure, not too much. Other than that, the build is very enjoyable and simple. Founded in 1950 by Naoharu Yamashina, Bandai is the first toy brand in Japan. Using rubber and celluloid, she built miniature models of cars, planes and toys of all kinds. A reference of quality, its first model automobiles met with great success in the world. The detail, engineering and articulation present in this kit is just mind blowing. I would reccomend this in a heartbeat to anyone who's looking to buy their very first Perfect Grade kit. In the series' first season trailers and opening song Shukufuku, the Aerial uses blue colored beams, similar to its predecessor, the XGF-02 Gundam Lfrith. These blue beams indicate output intended for actual combat. While the blue beams were included or depicted with early merchandise releases, the Aerial is never seen using blue beams in the anime. Following the Vanadis Incident, the XGF-02 Gundam Lfrith piloted by Elnora Samaya escaped to Mercury. As the only mobile suit in Mercury the Gundam Aerial, piloted by Suletta Mercury, would be used by Suletta growing up to undertake various utilitarian missions, including search and rescue.
