About this deal

Accidents, abuse, misuse, improper installation, problems with electrical power, acts of third parties. The Zeus are quite a bit more difficult to drive properly than the Helios, but still more efficient than the HD650 or HF 580. Zeus Conclusion Applying a 1/12 smoothing, I am getting this graph and as you can see, the sub-bass is good, mid-bass is absolutely perfect clearly standing out, midrange is mostly linear but it sees a gentle slope until upper-midrange is hit with a roll-off. Treble is calm and relaxed in the most sensitive part (between 4 and 6 kHz) and immediately after that it gets higher momentum and becomes much stronger and defined. There is a lot of presence in the top octave that gives an impression of a detailed and transparent sound. As you can see, Zeus was tuned towards an enjoyable experience, in detriment of a super-linear, super extended frequency response. These are not hyper treble phones, and i'll get into that more when we get to the midrange section of this mini review.

HarmonicDyne Zeus - Linsoul Audio

This applies for most countries. However, large items such as headphones and desktop DAC/AMPs (e.g. HarmonicDyne G200, MUSICIAN MDP-2, and etc.) are excluded. Some reviewers have described this as like a "concert hall". I'd like to say that for SOME songs, that is exactly the case. Like you feel the ECHO of the sounds, you know the amount of space it has and where it is. Also, for FPS gaming, this is an absolute beast. Pinpoint accuracy including the DISTANCE. I 100% know when they'll be coming out of the corner. On top of the headband is a leather pad with some foam material. Although it’s not the softest foam, it’s still soft enough to ensure that there won’t be hotspots on top of my head. When listening to the headphones, I immediately noticed very accurate and smooth low frequencies with a slight shift in emphasis to the midbass, and complementary smooth mids with a rather smooth but accentuated approach to the upper middle, which personally, to my ears, gives a slight brightness to the vocals and makes their production more forward, but I liked the high frequencies for their duration and good resolution! This warranty extends only to personal use & does not extend to any product that has been used for commercial use, rental use, or use that is not intended. Its sort of like the difference between Digital photography, vs, a Film Camera and Film, specifically Kodachrome. The stainless-steel grills are close, but not quite a perfect match to the aluminum headband parts. The promotional photos minimize the difference in the colors of the metals, but it is noticeable when viewed in person. If it is plastic sealed when you get it, it should remain plastic sealed. Some types of goods such as CIEMs and custom cables cannot be returned. Oiran I by Meitei contains a cornucopia of samples from different origins with different treble signatures. A good transducer can separate out these samples and reveal the harmony between them. With the Zeus Elite, the sources jumble together, and some of them are rendered nearly unintelligible, with an artificial timbre. I think it is important to note that the Story and Mission statements of Linsoul declare that they do not solely strive for products with the highest sound quality. Rather they refer to a combination of sound quality and visual style. It seems the aesthetic appeal of their products is as important as how they sound. Technical SpecificationsThe Zeus Elite achieve good bass extension but at the cost of certain side-effects that negatively impact other areas of the sound signature. Bass The pads of the Zeus Elite are not uncomfortable but I would like it if the opening was a little larger. Whistling is reproduced accurately as well, particularly with the extra sense of airiness and space that is conveyed by a more extended treble range. The Poseidon stays away from sibilance, and one way to achieve this is by glossing over some of the details particularly with the treble range. Soundstage While the Zeus sound was a major change from the Helios, the differences between the Zeus and the Poseidon are far subtler. Measurements indicate that the sub-bass response of the Zeus is boosted, while there is a bit of a bump in the Poseidon mid-bass range. The rest of the frequency spectrum is fairly similar with a little bit more treble energy evident in the Poseidon.

HarmonicDyne Zeus Review: Thunderous Warmth - In-Ear Fidelity

With a more compressed dynamic range though, the Poseidon also has a more limited range when it comes to the depth of the soundstage. Although there are images that can come closer and a bit further away from my head, the space the images occupy in terms of depth isn’t proportional to the amount of space that they occupy in terms of width. It was unusual seeing Zeus beating the S4X at pretty much any measurements: Zeus driver matching is much better, its THD is lower and its spectral decay is faster. I’ve also recorded a higher ringing of the driver on S4X especially in the bass, that wasn’t present on the Zeus.

Review: HarmonicDyne Poseidon Headphones – Brother of Zeus Review: HarmonicDyne Poseidon Headphones – Brother of Zeus

Mid-bass is the best part of this headphone by a long shot, it is so present in my tunes that I’m hearing it first and then everything else. It is elevated by a hair, adding warmth, weight and that is the sound I like the most, since it always lifts my mood. Zeus seems to be following the Harman curve in terms of FR and that is a good thing in my book. This kind of quality is possible because the relevant components — the cables, the casing, the drivers, the wiring — are all relatively cheap, even at the highest quality. The diaphragm of the tiny speaker inside an earbud may cost as little as five cents, or as much as four dollars for a diamond-coated version. And for earbuds and IEMs, the quality of the components translates directly to the quality of the product. HarmonicDyne Zeus vs iBasso SR-2 (350 USD vs 500 USD) – SR-2 is the kind of headphone that you want to keep on your head for hours in a row. They are far more comfortable than Zeus, lighter and also easier to carry around (they do come with a case). SR-II also comes with a much better default cable. Zeus is better suited for those who want a more hype and impactful sound, while SR-2 is more relaxed, but also more refined and mature. The stage is better defined on SR-2, while it is more holographic and exciting on Zeus. The first thing that I noticed with the midrange is that it is relatively forward sounding compared to the rest of the frequency spectrum. While already being forward, there is a small injection of euphony to the midrange, allowing vocals to have a measured amount of richness. Well, this gear has changed that POV, as this is the one you want if you are looking for just SQ and affordability, and you are not needing a bass canon or microscopes for your ears.I have been a huge fan of the original Zeus, and considered it such an amazing headphone, and for so many reasons that my sweet girlfriend actually tried to get the model of the ear cups printed on my birthday cake this year, when I made the official review for them. I still think they are awesome for the price, but it looks like Harmonic Dyne wanted to improve on a few things and make the listening experience even better, now having launched the new Zeus Elite. We have an improved driver and sound, but the build quality is actually slightly worse than the original Zeus. On a tight budget I would pair these with a small combo like Topping E30 and L30 and on higher budget, SMSL SU-9 powered by SH-9 should offer an audible improvement. If you want only the best out of them, look no further to Class-A amplifiers like those I’ve mentioned before that will take care of their obvious flaws and will further elevate their performance.
