About this deal

It's like the famous Shakespearean soliloquay about "To Be or Not To Be," where Hamlet considers suicide if it weren't for the mystery of "What dreams may come" - what follows death? and could it be worse than life? I really loved this real life horror mixed with supernatural elements. This is a relentless, disgusting and horrid story about the darkness that lives inside of Lori. A girl, that will go to the extreme to get what she wants. Lori is just such a fanatic. Her obsession is with Edmund Cox, a man of sadistic cruelty who butchered more than twenty women. She’s gone so far as to forge a relationship with him, visiting him in prison and sending him letters on a regular basis. She will do anything to get close to him, so when he gives her a task, she eagerly accepts it.

THE OLDER SISTER KILLS ONE OF THE UNNECESSARY CHARCTERS TO HELP LORI BECAUSE " LORI WANTS TO BANG HER BF (THE KILLER") AND LORI PROMISED SHED MAKE HER SISTER A MOH AT THE WEDDING IF HER AND HER SERIAL KILLER GET MARRIED

I guess I can't be sure, but to me it makes a lot of sense that this song is about death or Thanatos or dwelling on mortality... River Man is the legendary guide on the River Styx who carries souls who have just entered the underworld into Hades. Lori is just such a fanatic. Her obsession is with Edmund Cox, a man of sadistic cruelty who butchered more than 20 women. She’s gone so far as to forge a relationship with him, visiting him in prison and sending him letters on a regular basis. She will do anything to get close to him, so when he gives her a task, she eagerly accepts it. Lori siente que no es tan distinta a él, algo le atrae, siente que no es ms que un ser incomprendido por la sociedad, como ella. Relaciones familiares tóxicas, celos, y mucha, mucha sangre, serán los pilares de Buscando al hombre del río.

Edmund tells her she must go to his cabin in the woods of Killen and retrieve a key to deliver to a mysterious figure known only as The River Man. This is my first read from Triana but definitely not my last. Triana is a skilled writer and I really enjoyed his writing style. The pace is impeccable. His writing is detailed and dark but at the same time beautiful and heartbreaking. I loved how he was building up the story until the dreadful end. I had to know why the main character was so obsessed with a serial killer rapist. I thought that including the letters between Lori and Edmund was a nice touch. You got to see how their relationship evolved. I found the end to be perfect for the story. It was like closing the circle and finding peace in a way.Lori has made a connection with a repugnant prisoner called Edmund, and the true, sordid nature of their relationship is revealed through a series of letters interspersed throughout the chapters. He takes advantage of the extremely unhealthy obsession she has forged with him by assigning her a seemingly dangerous quest: to retrieve a specific item and deliver it to a mysterious character known only as The River Man.

Un viaje en el que Lori recorrerá sus propios miedos, esos que siente que la unen a ese psicópata depravado. LORI CATCHES HER SISTER AND HER BF DAVID DOING THE "DEVILS TANGO" THAT AWAKENS SOMETHING IN HER TO GO TO HER BROTHERS ROOM AND "DEVILS TANGO WITH HIM" His fiction has appeared in countless magazines and anthologies and has been translated into multiple languages, drawing praise from Publisher's Weekly, Cemetery Dance, Rue Morgue, Scream, The Ginger Nuts of Horror and others. Superb extreme horror writing that really delivers on providing a chilling and quite simply 'spine-tingling' experience in the grim and macabre world of the dark arts and beyond.

The people we make suffer stay inside of us longer and more deeply than those who we bring joy, don’t you think?” To me that's her praying again. Asking god to give her that happiness and freedom she once felt. If her future holds more pain and sadness, she feels like this world is not meant for her. The story is built upon two split narratives around 25 years apart, the focus of both is Lori, who is just about to turn 40 in the present-day story. Lori has a rather morbid hobby, she writes to serial killers and has an impressive collection of letters from previous correspondences. When the story begins, she is on the way to prison to meet Edmund Cox. Lori is in love with Edmund, even though she knows he has tortured and killed many women, with a special fondness for those from the Far East. As the story unfolds, some of the letters, written by both Lori and Edmund, are dropped into the story. When the pair meet, Edmund gives Lori a mission, or a test, and this lies at the dark core of Gone to See the River Man.
