About this deal

The Edifier looks a lot like the Beats Studio Buds; they’ve got the same sculpted boot appearance that helps them slip into the ear easily, and they also make use of physical controls, which is again helpful in operating the earbuds. There’s that sure-fire recognition and response that comes with presses than there is with touch controls. There are a few issues with the control scheme. First, only the double, triple, and long-hold touch are customized. You can’t assign functions individually to each bud, so if you set the double-press for volume down, this will apply to both buds. It’s odd that Edifier doesn’t let you assign the single-press controls. In fact, the companion app makes zero mention of it; you’ll learn through trial and error that it’s for play/pause. The advanced Bluetooth V5.3 technology guarantees stronger anti-interference, and lower power consumption, steadier connection, you don’t have to worry about signal cuts at all. AI DNN Call Noise Cancellation Hassle-Free Communication

The Edifier W240TN are a fine-looking and sounding pair of wireless earbuds designed to compete with some of the category’s top performers. Detailed sonics combined with strong noise cancellation, connectivity, and craftsmanship make them well worth their asking price. Certain areas could be improved such as call quality, digital assistance, and wind resistance. Then again, compromises are expected for wireless earbuds this affordable, and the overall performance makes up for any shortcomings.Let's talk about the sound produced by the Edifier W240TN TWS earbuds. You should know that I lean towards the bassy spectrum of audio. That being said, the W240TN wireless earbuds produce crispy, detailed sound without overdoing the bass or drowning out the high notes. Personally, I do like heavily punchy sound, so I ended up adjusting the audio with the in-app EQ. Most other users are likely to be incredibly happy with the tune that the W240TN earbuds play. The case has a soft touch finish with some nice curves and the case is not too large you can fit the case into your jeans without any issue. The size of the case measures 2.3 x 1.7x 1.1 inches and it’s lightweight at only 39.6g. What I really love about this case is the designer must have been a KnightRider fan as it has a LED strip that reminds me of Kit from the TV classic apart from the fact it’s a white light instead of red but it’s still very cool. The Edifier W240TN supports Edifier’s Connect app, which offers levels of customization from a Game mode that reduces audio latency to swapping between noise-cancelling modes and ‘sound effects’ (Classic, Dynamic, Customised). Could Edifier improve yes, the fact you don’t have multi-point pairing would have been nice to have added. Call quality is also an area that really needs improvement, especially in busy environments. Apart from that if you do not want to splash the bank or can’t and want a pair of buds that does most things well these are a very good option to consider. Product Rating:

The W240TN exhibit fantastic build quality. They're ruggedly handsome and small compared to other oval-shaped wireless earbuds, and feature an aluminum housing and integrated multifunctional button. Attached is a sturdy plastic cavity that carries most of the hardware and they're rated at IP55, which guarantees dust and waterproof protection. The Edifier comes with a Bluetooth 5.3 connection, which is currently the most up-to-date version available, and I’ve had no issues so far as the W240TN has performed very reliably in busy areas. The buds only support the SBC codec, which is the lowest quality Bluetooth codec. Is that a significant issue? Perhaps if you’re listening to higher quality music services but even then, the driver design will have more of an impact on what you hear.Edifier kept a lot of important factors in mind with the W240TN TWS earbuds. They are suitable for gym use where your hands tend to get sweaty and interfere with touch controls. I also recommend these earbuds for rainy regions where constant downpours plague the residents. We discussed the adjustable EQ and that is where the Edifier App comes into play it provides you with all the features you want the home screen allows you to monitor battery levels, switch on ANC or transparency mode, and that customizable EQ in which you can adjust the sound to suit your needs. Edifier employs hybrid ANC to eliminate vast amounts of ambient noise. How well does the technology perform? Much better than the price suggests.

Battery life is claimed by Edifier to be about seven hours, but performing a battery drain from a Spotify playlist for about two hours resulted in about a 25% drop. I’d say that at 50% volume you could wring about eight hours from the W240TN, which is better than a number of more expensive true wireless. In addition to the audio quality and the ANC, you can also use these buds to take calls due to the built-in mics in both earbuds and the quality is fine I found I could be heard and could hear who is speaking clearly. If the environment is nice and quiet but as we know calls can happen at any time of the day. When you increase the outside noise the call quality can be affected, and more outdoor noise comes in than you might want. It’s a shame but these are budget-friendly in-ear headphones so it’s not a massive surprise. Battery Life For the W240TN to come with only SBC codec support seems silly, especially when numerous other wireless earbuds come programmed with AAC and aptX. Nonetheless, the streaming quality on iOS and Android devices was solid. Armed with a 10mm woofer and 6mm tweeter, the Edifier W240TN could be classified as a warm sonic bath. Part of that is also down to its support for the SBC codec, which isn’t the highest quality, but the way the Edifier is tuned appears to be more towards bass, giving them a rich quality to their sound. You also have the bonus of fast charging 10 minutes of charge will provide you with 2 hours of battery life which will get you out of trouble if that were to happen. Verdict

Two preset EQ sound effects are available and more EQ settings can be adjusted by your favor via Edifier Connect App. Shutdown timer function is featured First thing I did was replace the narrow diameter/bore eartips with ones with a 5mm diameter. This brought out a much better and unrestricted sound. I have no idea why they give you tips that restrict the sound.

Battery Life

Dust and water resistance are not permanent, and the performance may deteriorate due to daily wear-and-tear. Walks were mostly peaceful. Landscaping tools and the construction work that took place on the Intracoastal Waterway were unnoticeable. I couldn’t say the same for ambulance sirens and police whistles, but neither of those noises was piercingly loud. Wind resistance wasn’t half bad either. Whisking effects produced in gusty conditions didn’t harm my hearing, and those that came from speeding cars barely made it onto the soundscape. You can't miss how prominent vocals are on Edifiers newest earbuds. Whether it's darker male singers, female vocalists, or higher male singers: vocals take the center stage in the music. They're forward, crisp, and vibrant; just as easily dipping into the lows as reaching the higher notes. That is: highs within comfortable listening levels. While treble is clear and lively in reproducing both vocals and brighter instruments like violins or cymbals, highs cut off before they have the chance of sounding sharp or too bright - with the exception of the single highest volume level. Not many wireless earbuds manage handle this well.
