The Desert boot was designed to be worn regularly and is known for its long lifespan. Similar to the Bushacre, this boot also features a stitch-down construction. Depending on the material, it does offer a certain degree of waterproofing. The most significant difference is the sole: the Bushacre 3 has a hard, vulcanized rubber sole while the Clarks Desert Boot has a cushier crepe rubber sole. The shaft is slightly shorter than the Bushacre—measuring at 4.25 inches from the arch. The heel counter is suede-lined to bring you more stability. It’s a fairly basic sole—standard on what you’ll see from other shoes and boots at this price point. Considering the price, this sole is decent. I’m not blown away by it, but it’s definitely durable enough to last for a year and a half to two years of consistent wear. Fit and Sizing

Overall, users have been satisfied with their Desert boots; however, they do have a “breaking-in” period that might be tough on sensitive feet. Oddity: The “Clarks” logo embossed at the heel. The other competitors don’t have that. Could be a deal breaker for some.

I recommend getting a different leather if you’re considering the Bushacre 2 for the office (Clarks suede options are a solid bet). The Beeswax colorway is my favorite, but I like the rugged, worn-in look. If you need a neat presentation for work, you’re better off with a more uniform color.
