About this deal

This is a bush variety of courgette, which means that plants are large, robust and vigorous but stay compact without sprawling. The fruit are uniform and straight, with a rich dark green colouring and a fine flavour that’s delicate and sweet enough to eat raw, straight off the plant. Growing courgettes from plug plants is very easy – plant in full sunshine, in beds or large pots, and be sure to water well. You will receive a complete growing guide with your plug plants.

Over the years, these two gardens have contributed to our depth of experience and knowledge on vegetable growing that we can pass on to our customers - from allotment growing to family gardening. Rainbow chard will bring a pleasing punch of colour to your veg patch during the colder months. It is a flavoursome and nutrient-rich plant that will produce leaves throughout the seasons. Simply cut off the bigger, outer leaves at the base and more will keep growing. It is easy to grow rainbow chard from plug plants – just plant in raised beds or large containers and follow the growing guide that is provided with the plants.Planting/Growing Advice:Plant plugs in spring/summer approx 15cm apart in planters, raised beds, pots, containers or grow bags. Artichoke, bean, celery and sweetcorn seedlings are intolerant of frost. In mild areas they can be planted out immediately but it is advisable to keep some fleece handy just in case there are still any chilly nights. In colder areas it is best to first plant them in a tray of compost and keep indoors until all risk of frost has passed. After finally planting those out we again recommend covering with fleece if cold nights are forecasted. In the kitchen: Leeks are delicious in soups, stews and pies. You can steam, fry or boil. Finely chopping leeks brings out the flavour and texture. Harvesting: Harvest the outer leaves for a cut-and-come again crop, or wait until the lettuce head has formed and harvest the whole plant. variant_sku": "VEG0086A,VEG0333,VEG0245,VEG0386,VEG0439,VEG0492,VEGCOL182,VEGCOL215,VEGCOL358,VEGCOL391,VEGCOL534,VEGCOL567"
