Attach the lumbar support and the usable seat pan depth is significantly reduced. It makes taller people feel as if they’re perched towards the seat's edge. To sum things up, the AndaSeat Dark Demon is a great gaming chair. Definitely designed for bigger people, it’s perfect for providing firm support, lots of room to get comfortable and a 160-degree recline. There were a few issues that cropped up like the uncomfortable lumbar cushion, a bit of wear and tear and problems with the armrests, still, that didn’t put me off. Something I didn't appreciate about the AndaSeat Dark Demon was the fact that it seemed like a magnet for all sorts of rubbish on its seat - the seams are fairly wide and fill up with crumbs, dust, and detritus much too easily as a result. It's easy to clean away, yet such maintenance does take the shine off things.
It has a “class 4” pneumatic lift, which offers 5.5cm of lift. This should be enough for all but the tallest of people, who probably shouldn’t but this chair for other reasons anyway. It’s also made of the same kind of high-quality PVC leather material you would expect from those chairs, too. From a hammer to the frame to coffee spills and even unleashing a destructive five-month-old puppy on the chair failed to leave even a hint of a mark. Compared to other gaming seats, the Dark Demon is hefty and takes up a lot of room so those living in smaller spaces should consider this before trying to squeeze it into your flat or house.The whole seat tilt issue is one of cost. But there’s a more fundamental design niggle in the Anda Seat Dark Demon too. The Anda Seat Dark Demon has 4D arms that are, as far as we can tell, almost identical to those of the more expensive Fnatic Edition. Or, for something even cheaper, the BraZen Phantom Elite doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of a premium gaming chair, but it is a solid, comfortable and cool chair that comes in a few different colours. Additionally, the wide design makes it ideal for anyone who is of a bigger build but those of a slimmer stature might find it a little uncomfortable and imposing.
