I would only recommend this book to people who like history. I would recommend this because people could be looking for a book to read and they might like history. I would also recommend this book because it has some parts that people might enjoy. That fanzine was to be known as Kill Your Pet Puppy. GET YOUR OWN COPY OF RIPPED AND TORN – THE BOOK RIGHT HERE One of the things I loved the most was the friendship between Ellie and a young, twelve/thirteen year-old Afghan boy, Husna who the British troops hold captive after a gunfire attach in a nearby town. I loved the unlikely friendship between captor and captive and how much Husna changed by the end. How he didn’t trust anyone at first and slowly but surely he opened up and started to trust the girl. Husna’s by far my favourite character, although Ellie is a close second. Growing up, I always assumed that Jesus wasn’t really breaking the Sabbath by healing someone, because perhaps God didn’t count supernatural healing as “work” on the same level with cooking or heavy lifting. If I had been Jesus, that’s the argument I would have made: “The Bible says not to work on the Sabbath. I’m not working; I’m healing. This isn’t work for me.” The book also includes a vaguely supernatural element that didn't work at all and a focus on political conspiracy theories (with the required twist/revelation at the end) that was excruciating. I am interested in politics, and it made my brain glaze over.

Many people, in all fields of career and studies, use books. Whether you are a college student renting a textbook or a person who loves to read in their downtime, books can get expensive and damaged easily. Lee's story is the story of many in the gay community. At times I thought that I could have written this book. I shared many of his experiences, both good and bad, and was just as easily terrified to publicly admit that I was (and am) attracted to the same sex. Having been forced to admit this facet of my existence by the firm grace of God, I sense a freedom in Christ that I had not previously known. Not a freedom for sexual indulgence but a freedom from secret-keeping and lying. If you’re stamping books, make sure to test out your stamping technique on pieces of scrap paper first! It’s inevitable that some letters will turn out a bit crooked, but that adds to their charm! I thought about every example of sin I could come up with. In every single case, Paul was right: Truly living out God’s agape love for others always led to doing the right thing. Sin always resulted from selfish desire in one form or another.

To me, this is an inaccurate representation that grossly over-simplifies the story. Please, don’t misunderstand. Sure, there is attraction and affection; but it is secondary and if excluded, Mr. Massey would still be giving us a compelling, engrossing and thought-provoking narrative.
