Did you know you can flag iffy content? Adjust limits for Drinking, Drugs & Smoking in your kid's entertainment guide. Get started Close This audiobook was so much fun! It's clear Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey are amazing friends and it was wonderful to hear how their relationship began, grew, stumbled, and flourished. I loved getting the behind the scenes details and insights into the show and characters. The little cameos from cast members and friends (the song from Creed!) were great and I especially loved the insight about the challenges of being a woman in Hollywood and then as a working mother. The chapter about walking the red carpet for the first time and the helpful tips was one of my favorites and had me laughing so hard. I haven't listened to the Office Ladies podcast, so the majority of the information shared was new to me. I imagine if you've listened to the podcast that this might be a bit repetitive, but fans of The Office will love this one. I am (at this very moment) in the midst of a birthday challenge. For my 28th bday I am attempting to climb 280 V-points (outdoor climbing thing) and run 28 miles in 28 hours. The climbing is going great. The running on the other hand has been completely derailed by a horrible episode of ITBS. My leg is on fire. Did you know you can flag iffy content? The selling point for me was the collection of pictures that accompany these stories (putting faces with names). Be warned, however, the pictures (at least in the Kindle version of the book) are all credited (“Courtesy of Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey” over and over) but NONE of them are captioned. You have to make assumptions about who is in the photo and when/why, etc. Doing this a few times seems fine but doing this hundreds of times is not fun. It was tedious. I’m familiar with the Who’s Who of actors, writers, sometimes directors but I don’t know which guy is the boom operator or the props creator. It would be so nice to have a caption that reads something like “Pictured left to right: John Doe, Joe Schmoe on the first day of filming!”. Core characters are a mixed bag, with plenty of flaws and foibles, but most mean well. At least a handful seem to actually like their jobs. Jim and Pam are kind and can be relatable. Dwight is extremely loyal to the company, sometimes to a fault. Michael tries his best to have his team deliver excellence. The biggest question when it comes to this book is should you read it or listen to the audiobook. I did both! (Thank you library!) An insider’s account of the rampant misconduct within the Trump administration, including the tumult surrounding the insurrection of Jan. 6, 2021.

If you didn’t watch the office you’re going to be bored though, it’s def not the book for people who didn’t watch. Other than Steve Carell, the cast of The Office were primarily starving artists who had small acting parts and were struggling to eke out a living. They all became great friends and several of them had known each other. As an example, John Krasinski (Jim) and B.J. Novak (Ryan) grew up in the same MA neighborhood. Angela and Kate Flannery (Meredith) had done stand up improv at the same venue. The Office has suggestive dialogue and some mild sexual references throughout. Most of these aren’t severe and they can be considered mild. There is also some blurred nudity that can contain some sexual images (pictures of people having sex, dangling penises, etc.) Here is some examples of suggestive dialogue shown: We hear “That’s what she said” Jokes (usually not too severe), we hear some conversation about “Boning” people, we hear they Michael “did” a girl.”, we hear talk of boobs. The suggestive and sexual dialogue isn’t really much to worry about, and most episodes have none in it. An intimate, behind-the-scenes, richly illustrated celebration of beloved The Office co-stars Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey’s friendship, and an insiders' view of Pam Beesly, Angela Martin, and the iconic TV show. Featuring many of their never-before-seen photos.

Did we miss something on diversity?

More of this content is slightly toned down here in the later seasons, but more (slightly more graphic) “Thats what she said” jokes are heard along with suggestive dialogue. Dwight also has a sex contract with Angela, where they sleep together on several occasions off-screen, but it is referenced heavily throughout. In one episode, Pam finds Angela naked in her car expecting Dwight. In another episode, PDA is discussed and Dwight reads of everyone who had sex in the workplace. Jim and Pam later come out of a closet suggesting they had sexual intercourse there. I would go into more detail, however there are just too many jokes in the series, but the most severe have been covered. The Office is an American sitcom set in a mislead office environment. Lead by Micheal Scott (Steve Carell) every employee in the work place grows on you, and eventually you’ll love them like your best friends! They go through the goods and bad’s of life with you, and you’ll find tons of moments where you want to laugh your guts out, and some times where you want to cry. If I had children, I would definitely want them to experience this show sometime in their lives, but you may be asking “When is my child ready?” Well, I’m going to take you through it all in 5 sections:

The Office BFFs by Jenna Fischer, Angela Kinsey | Waterstones

So I was bound to love this book—and I did. I loved reading about the experience Jenna and Angela had while making it. I loved hearing about their relationships with the cast and crew. I felt like I was right there with them on the set—and in a very small way, a part of their amazing friendship. This book made me so nostalgic and brought such joy to my Office-loving heart! It was so wonderful to hear first-hand accounts of working on The Office and the bond the cast and crew had. I laughed so much while listening and probably had a smile on my face the entire time. The Office is one of my favorite TV shows, a top fiver for me forever — I enjoyed listening to the audiobook of The Office BFFs by Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey. ⁣ I don’t listen to their podcast, Office Ladies, because I just do not have that attention span but now I really want to. The behind the scenes information and facts were so entertaining to read and even the second to last chapter made me tear up. Like what? 😅🥲 It really felt like they were chatting to me through the book. One character has an ongoing problem with alcohol (played for laughs), occasionally getting drunk at office functions where it's served. Another has a history of drug use and still uses marijuana, etc. References to cocaine, and it's implied that one of the characters sells illegal drugs.
