A single Snapsies capsule contains everything you need to technically create two different creatures, depending on the “butt” piece you choose to use at any one time. For instance, in our capsule, we receive “Jolie,” a character that can either be a llama (using the llama butt piece) or a “llamasus” (using the pegasus butt piece). If you get another Snapsies you can mix them all up together to make your own combinations and creations. It’s what makes surprise toys so alluring, and I must admit, I just love the marketing involved with surprise toys. Rather than being classified as “collectibles” (like Funko’s Pop or Soda figures), Snapsies are true toys that are meant to be played with. They’re aimed at kids 6-11.The only thing I was disappointed in was the amount of plastic involved in the unveiling. With 3 different plastic bags to open, it felt a little unnecessary and it would have been nice to see a paper-based alternative used instead. However, I was pleased to see the capsule itself becomes a stand for your Snapsie. Or it would be in this house if her little brother hadn’t already stolen it to use as a dinosaur egg.
