Nonetheless, don’t assume that you can see everything from the smile. Researchers used to believe that a genuine smile was impossible to fake. But actually, a more recent study has shown that people are pretty good at faking a “genuine smile”, even if they’re not feeling happy. And that’s quite a good place to start because these are usually people with great influence and are master at lying. what traits are common in people? ( people mainly will describe their own qualities they brr er live they have) Crossing one’s arms across the chest might mean the patient is not open to pursuing a particular avenue of exploration; however, in another case it might simply be indicative of the office temperature being too cold for comfort. “ In most cases, you will not have all of this information about context. But remember that there’s never just one interpretation for something a person does. 2) Look for clusters of cues

Where do you accept spending money, where you skimping all together? (reveals what matter to them, what they want to experience and what to avoid?! Look at their motivations, emotions around their answers?) Of course, keep in mind that these inferences are not always accurate – but they are one more useful tool to help you out. 20) Practice, practice, practice! According to LaRae Quy, a former counterintelligence agent for the FBI, “people have different quirks and patterns of behavior” and some of these behaviors “could simply be mannerisms”. The key to reading people like a pro is to relax and keep your mind open and positive. 17. Practice watching people.

6. Don’t run away from small talk.

The author is an ex-FBI agent. But frankly speaking, I didn’t find anything mind-blowing in this book. So if you are looking for a basic guide that teaches general tactics, this book is for you. Just don’t expect yourself to become an FBI agent, which demands special training. Sometimes, you may get an “ah-ha” moment about people. But stay alert because these insights come in a flash. Be a master communicator anytime, anywhere and leave the best impressions on both new and familiar people wherever you go Is it possible to analyze people without them saying a word? Yes, it is. Learn how to become a "mind reader" and forge deep connections. As with all the other tips here, don’t assume that a sign is 100% accurate. But here are some walking styles that might indicate certain personality traits:

We tend to miss it because we go onto the next thought so rapidly that these critical insights get lost. Read People Like a Book isn’t a normal book on body language of facial expressions. Yes, it includes all of those things, as well as new techniques on how to truly detect lies in your everyday life, but this book is more about understanding human psychology and nature. We are who we are because of our experiences and pasts, and this guides our habits and behaviors more than anything else. Parts of this book read like the most interesting and applicable psychology textbook you’ve ever read. Take a look inside yourself and others! We also talk about mirror neurons, which are like brain copy cats, and they help us “mirror” the person or people we are interacting with to create connections and that feeling of familiarity. There are many levels of communication going on when a person interacts with the world, verbal, psychic, and body language. Try as a person might, they cannot monitor all of these channels completely. By being observant, one can gain a truer assessment of what a person is trying to convey. This book seeks to draw your attention to the body language of people and gain increased insight into their true mental state. When you walk into a crowded room, do you stand awkwardly alone, play on your phone, or worse? Don't… I’ve been browsing this book for over 20 years now and I’m so glad finally after nearly two de cases, I got an opportunity to read it word by word.

It is a well-known fact that we get over 55% of information through nonverbal communication. Allan Pease, an Australian body language expert, wrote about this. Mimics, gestures, and other body movements can unmask a person and tell you what they really think or feel. Also, some findings suggest that perhaps psychological traits can – to some degree – be read on a person’s face. Almost all businesses and political parties exploit our psychological weaknesses to brainwash us and sell their products/services/propaganda.

Love yourself first and everything else falls into place

Imagine if you could enter a room full of people and instantly be able to guess what everybody is thinking in their minds.

Evy Poumpouras says that “if someone is leaning in and all of a sudden you say something and their arms crossed, now I know I said something that this person didn’t like.” Another thing to keep in mind is distance between two people. When people are flirting, the space between them often decreases, according to a behavior analyst. Chapter 1: Read People Like a Book: How to Analyze, Understand, and Predict People’s Emotions, Thoughts, Intentions, and BehaviorsWell.. I re read this one and it has some useful information but I have read a few of these. I think it's a little dated maybe. Not that body language changes all that much but I have read more comprehensive books on the subject. Just because a person isn’t wearing a religious attire, it doesn’t signify that he is not religious.
