Listen out for the beep and the empty warning light should come on. level low warning light will illuminate once the water has flushed through the system. On average each Perfect Prep filter should last around 3 months, however this depends on the frequency of use and what size bottles you are preparing. The original Perfect Prep machine features a warning light which will indicate when the filter is due to be replaced and the Day & Night version will display a message on the screen. The Perfect Prep™ unit contains a probe that measures the temperature of the water in the tank which prevents the unit from dispensing if the water is above 27°C. This is a key safety feature to ensure that the final feed is not too hot for your baby. Unique Filtration Membrane: Inside each Perfect Prep Filter there is a unique filtration membrane which removes bacteria and other contaminants that can be found in water
As is normal with all manufactured products, the Perfect Prep™ machine dispensed water volume has an allowed tolerance of +/- 5%. Additionally, there are potential tolerances in the measurement graduations of our Closer to Nature bottles. With the water hopper in place (but not the filter) fill the hopper with 1 litre of freshly boiled hot water. Press the start/stop button. A green light will flash, and water will be dispensed to finish the cycle. The contents should be discarded.Small particles of carbon may be in the bag or on the surface of your filter. These dust particles are harmless and will be reduced during the initial set up process when submerging in clean fresh water. The Tommee Tippee plain white filter and blue/ white filters are compatible with both Perfect Prep Machines.
High water temperature should only ever be an issue in hotter climates, but it is not uncommon for mains water to rise in temperature in cooler climates during a sustained period of hot weather.

Anti-Bacterial Filter: The Perfect Prep anti-bacterial filter is designed for use with water straight from the tap and ensures that the water is clean and safe to make a bottle feed The perfect Prep™ can detect limescale build up, notifying you when it needs descaling. The descaling process will remove deposits of calcium and other minerals in the system that may affect its performance. A red descale warning light will illuminate when the unit requires descaling soon. If the red light flashes, you should descale immediately. A red change filter warning light will illuminate when the filter needs replacing soon. If this light flashes, the filter must be changed immediately.
