About this deal

Clear Your Mind: Stop Overthinking, Tune Out Mental Chatter And Worry Less - Balance Your Emotional And Rational Mind (Kindle Edition) Conduct a counter-belief experiment by test driving the counter-belief – spend at least one minute living as though the counter- belief is true > Live the next sixty seconds believing you are adequately prepared for your presentation to see how that affects your anxiety.

The next time you find yourself continuously running things over in your mind, take note of how it affects your mood. Do you feel irritated, nervous, or guilty? What’s the primary emotion behind your thoughts? My brain literally never stops. In fact I routinely have two lines of thought at any given time. Not to mention any kind of visual thoughts I might be having. It can be exhausting. So when something bad is happening - or all the bad things are happening all at once like lately!! - I am definitely one to OVERTHINK. And probably to over think about the 2-3 absolute WORST possible outcomes all at once! (And overthink about overthinking). Oh joy! Aren’t you happy you aren’t in my head?Probably THE most relatable book I’ve ever read. I will probably read it over and over! One of those books that makes you say - So it’s not just me! The book talks about overthinking and depression almost synonymously, as if anyone who overthinks is certainly depressed, and it goes on to talk about research comparing depressed and non-depressed people in an attempt to show how overthinking will destroy your life. Observe what happens when I say “now, just focus on what you are reading and whatever you do, don’t think about camels, red sand and pyramids and camels and so on." '

You don’t have to go it alone. Seeking outside help from a qualified therapist can help you develop new tools for working through your thoughts and even changing your mindset. To be fair, this book was slightly off-topic from what I was looking for help with so while I didn't find the advice useful in a lot of ways that could be why. This book is mostly about how modern women can get caught in cycles of overthinking and obsessing over stressful situations and how to break out of that cycle. My issue that I was looking for help with was how to re-train my brain to recall happy memories more easily in place of recalling unpleasant past experiences. There was some advice that crossed over but a lot of it seemed inapplicable. When you’re in the midst of overthinking, stop and take out your notebook or your favorite note-taking app on your phone. Jot down five things that have gone right over the past week and your role in them. Some of the case studies in the book really annoyed me; as another reviewer said, is it necessary for us to know the eye and hair color of all of the women discussed? No.We always try keep our itineraries a bit flexible. Because we know that while on trip, the guests might get interested in visiting some other place around. It causes us little extra efforts, but it brings smiles to our guests.
