Yet again the author has written a fabulous thriller where the setting has you placing yourself in the characters shoes. The idyllic home in the countryside where newlyweds Sam and Lauren move into soon after they marry, whilst I could see the attraction in living somewhere so remote, it also felt very cut off from civilisation and had the hairs on my arms stand on end. Avoid dating people you manage. Most companies term this "fraternization" and can be considered grounds for dismissal, since managers are generally expected not show favoritism among employees.
