The Witcher 3 | GTA V | Cyberpunk 2077 1.0 | Far Cry 5 | F1 2020 | Final Fantasy XV Benchmark The Witcher 3 With this weight, a laptop is rather heavier than average. Devices in this range shine more with screen size and performance than with mobility. But it works relatively the same as the other two models I’ve tested. It’s hard to compare apples to apples with the Legion 5, because that model I reviewed was only a 1050Ti. But the Legion 5 Pro and this model were very similarly specced, and the cooling system acted similarly as well. Lenovo Legion 5 17 | Powerful 17.3” gaming laptop | Lenovo UK

Salut Andrei. For your testing of Legion 5 Pro, do you hope to receive Ryzen 7 5800 CPU version with RTX 3070 graphics from Lenovo? Based on Lenovo launch information for Legion 5 and 5 Pro, do you anticipate getting testing samples by early March? Finally, here’s how things change when I swapped out the default RAM for my 32GB RAM kit. Note that this is with the GPU OC as well: For these tests I set the Thermal mode to Quiet which appears to limit the CPU to 10-12W (roughly 1.086 GHz unless demanded): Now for the other stuff. The Wifi module is the Intel AX200, which has performed well on other laptops I’ve tested. This is no exception. My speed test from 30ft away from my router resulted in 440Mbps. I experienced no drops in connection the entire time I used it either. The module comes with Bluetooth 5.2. USB-A 3.1 gen 1, 1x USB-C 3.2 gen2 with Data, gen1, power and DP, 1x USB-C 3.2 gen1, HDMI 2.1, LAN, headphone/mic

In the BIOS, I was able to OC the GPU with some predefined settings. Here are the new results from adding +100Mhz: It’s a full keyboard layout with a Numpad on this model. It’s interesting, because the Numpad has smaller keys than the rest of the keyboard, but I actually like it. It’s a better solution than cramping all of the keys together. The price you pay is the main keyboard is slightly offset to the left. I barely noticed a problem with it. USB-A 3.2 gen1(one always on), 2x USB-C 3.2 gen 2(one with PD 3.0 charging support), HDMI 2.1, mic/earphone, ethernetIn comparison, all tested devices range from 0.2 (minimum) to 636 (maximum) ms. » 20% of all devices are better. QHD (2560 x 1600) IPS, 16:10, 500 nits, 165Hz / 3ms response time, 100% sRGB, VESA DisplayHDR™-certified, Dolby Vision™-enabled, NVIDIA ® G-SYNC ®, AMD Freesync™ The fans are also exactly the same. They are pretty large in size and identical to the other Legion laptops. The only disappointment I have is the right fan on the GPU side could have been larger, but Lenovo chose not to. Could be for sourcing concerns for consistency, but I hate to see such a large empty space in a laptop. Seems like a wasted opportunity.

Lenovo Legion 5 15.6 Inch Full HD Laptop - (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H

If you’re wondering if this is the right laptop for you, I think the main thing you need to ask is if it’s the right size and weight. If your sights are on a 16″ gaming laptop solution, your options are probably narrowed down to this, the HP Omen 16 and even the Asus Zephyrus M16. But considering those three, this is both the larger and heavier of the bunch. Having the graphic card connected to an external screen, will you be able to set another resolution compared to the native screen? Next is Maxon's CPU-crunching Cinebench R15 test, which is fully threaded to make use of all available processor cores and threads. Cinebench stresses the CPU rather than the GPU to render a complex image. The result is a proprietary score indicating a PC's suitability for processor-intensive workloads. As for its performance, the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro has two options for the CPU which is either an AMD Ryzen 5 5600H or Ryzen 7 5800H. There are also choices of GPUs from an Nvidia GeForce RTX3050 all the way up to an RTX 3070 for this model. In terms of its gaming experience, this laptop can be considered as an excellent machine. However, there is more to this device than just its gaming performance as the Ryzen 7 5800H and 16GB of RAM (3200MHz) is obviously great for other productivity applications too. As for the battery, the Legion 5 Pro has a respectable 80 Whr battery that can last for 6 hours and 15 minutes. Overall, it is a great device to be explored, depending on the need and preference of the user. The mids and highs sound just ok, but the bass is limited to as low as 100Hz. Even so, the sound is decent for movie streaming or watching Youtube. Just don’t expect your favorite song to sound like it does on some quality headphones or speakers.
