About this deal
Looking for a dram to have in December to celebrate that thing that happens around the 25th? (It’s still October, so no I won’t say the banned word) 🎃
Glen Keith Bottler Distillery Bottling Bottled 15.06.2022 Casktype Traditional Oak Strength 40.0 % Vol. Size 700 ml Bottle code LKRS4020 Barcode 5000299613443 Added on 02 oct 2022 11:18 pm by vv11mot No partnership, joint venture, agency, or employment relationship is created as a result of your use of the Service. Nose: Deep & complex. Organics, Schwarzwalder Kirschtorte. Sweetens out. Tea leaves? Smoke? Spicy punch. Aaaah… Sweet & smooth & polished. A brilliant dram but at first there didn't seem to be too much development.Thoughts: The Glen Keith Distillery Edition is bottled at 40% without an age statement so straight away my expectations were lowered. I can’t help it. This is essentially the cheapest way for a distiller to get a single malt onto the market and in such cases, I tend to wonder just how highly they placed flavour on the agenda. Of course, the great thing about keeping ones expectations so low is there’s always the chance of a pleasant surprise and I must admit, this dram is better than I expected. In fact, it’s better than some similar bottles from distilleries of far greater reputation. Its fierce independence and community-focused content is funded by that same community. Plenty of honey. Malt. Digestive biscuits. Pencil shavings. Oak. Would you like to see curated content, discover all the latest from Chivas and receive exclusive offers?
