About this deal

And I’m not even sure what’s changed. I don’t know if it’s because I’m getting older and I’m becoming more comfortable experiencing things outside of my comfort zone and experimenting with things that I was previously closed off to, whether that is in books or in my own personal life. I’ve always been an open-minded person, but this trope crosses so many lines. This series is in the running for my favorite series of the year, and we are only halfway through. The emotions that Sara Cate evokes... through the physical and emotional connections between the characters... I am so enthralled. I could not put this story down. Mia and Garrett have such a complex relationship. It was so well built and I was lost in their roller coaster ride of a situation. I loved the small changes in their relationship. The tiny ways in which it evolves. Garrett's protectiveness against Mia's longing for control. Garrett desperately trying not to give in to temptation and Mia showing him how much he should. She wants him, and she's not shy about it. The way they want each other, body and mind. I absolutely loved that.

I’ve hated Beau since the very beginning but Sara Cate owns me so I was willing to give him a chance at redemption. I wasn’t expecting to see a younger version of myself in his character. Everyone is going to talk about how bad ass Maggie is but the character growth with Beau is so beautiful I can’t get enough of it. He could have just logged off, but he just can't. So he starts talking to her, under someone else's name. Another man. He never shows himself, so how would she ever know? And, this way, he can have a bit of her. He can also show a bit more of himself to her, like he's never done with anyone else. But is that enough? It's not, because he craves her. He wants her, and he doesn't know what to do with that feeling. Why is this trying to masquarade as something more when if you remove the sex there's absolutely nothing left? In Mercy, Maggie is 34, part owner of Salacious, and just bought a house, but it’s just her and her dog. She’s always believed she was vanilla until the quiz on her own app tells her she’s a domme. To make matters more interesting she gets a match to a bratty 22 year old who happens to be her friends son who’s also new to kink. It doesn’t have to be serious, they can experiment and learn together, and in secret.

Success!

When I’m with Mia, I don’t feel alone or like I’m battling the heavy winds of my own emotions. I’m so focused on her, and even when we were fighting or teasing each other, with one look, she kept me tethered. It hits me that the girl I never thought I could be with might have been made for me all along. What I Struggled With

There is absolutely no depth to the characters. There are mentions of the hero having some darkness and dealing with depression, but it's not fleshed out at all. It's just...there.please don’t say that…. I know there’s no shame, but I mean…how would you feel if it was [your girlfriend]? Flashing her puss—" Additional tropes in this series that you should be aware of before diving in. We have ex-boyfriends dad, age gaps, step-sister, bisexuality, BDSM, praise and degredation, polyamory, and kinks of all kinds. Remember the series is based around a sex club where kinks are accepted without judgement. It tries to throw mental health struggles in there, but because the character is flat, the entire thing just feels forced. Lol it's like the author forgot that isn't the norm. She acted like their stepsiblingness wasn't even a deterant or an inconvenience, lol. Like, she didn't even add any tension with the parents or anything.
