About this deal

A dog dematting tool is essential for any pet owner who is concerned about the condition of his or her pet’s coat. It helps to remove dirt and tangles from the fur of your dog, which can cause the coat to become matted and unsightly. The tool’s dual-headed design has rounded tips for dematting and de-shedding. Its non-slip ergonomic handle makes it easy to clean and is a great option for many breeds of dogs. Its ergonomic design is perfect for dematting your doodle’s fur. MAX DETANGLING TOOL - As a cat comb, dog or pet comb these grooming tools help with de matting stubborn knots and tangled hair. Eliminate trapped dirt, dead hair, undercoat fur while gently massaging your beloved pet and promoting healthy circulation. There are different types of dematting tools available to remove mats from your doodle’s hair. If you are looking for the right tool, we can help you. I find it is best to isolate the matt with a grooming comb, then use this to thin the matt with the blades and ease the dematting brush out without pulling too hard. Then you can use a the grooming comb or pin head brush to finish off the rest of the matt.

In general, you should groom your dog every 4 to 6 weeks, though you can brush your dog gently every day if necessary. Do I need to incorporate dematting into my pet’s grooming? One type of rake is called an undercoat rake, and it looks like a shaving razor with metal bristles or rounded blades in place of the blades. This tool is useful for removing mats and knots from the undercoat, but be careful not to pull your dog's hair out with it. While the ability to exert force is useful in some instances, the risk of scratching your pet with the metal bristles increases when using it. Undercoat Comb This product works well. It would work even better if my dog was not so hyper, but that is our issue and not the products. We have both this model and the longer/larger model. We own a Samoyed and he loves to play outside on the farm, row around, and shed endlessly. Being that he is a long haired breed, these activities allow for the creation of new mats on a weekly bases no matter how often we comb him (which is daily). My wife and I read in a person's review that this product hurts the dog by pulling out its hair. I honestly feel that person must have just not been patient enough with the tool or their dog must pull away often. We have found that the best way to utilize this product is by placing the desired area of fur between your thumb and finger (as if making the Okay symbol) while your dog is relax, and gently start at the top of the mat, and slowly work your way down as it releases. Rome wasn't build in a day, so don't expect the mat to disappear if you don't take the time to do it right and in increments. By holding the fur in place with your fingers below the mat (or at its base), this prevents the fur from pulling up from your dogs skin, thus taking away any pain. Granted, we have had one mat that was even too bad for this tool that needed cut off, but that was 1 out of at least 40 thus far. Overall, we love this product and its larger version too. I hope this review helped. LONG HAIR & SHORT HAIR BUSTER - The stainless steel rotating metal pins break apart knots, hairballs and detangle cat fur and dog top coats and undercoats. The fine teeth have rounded tips that won't scratch your dog. Perfect for all breeds and hair lengthsClear all different mats and tangles. The double sided pet comb has a different number of teeth on each side. The lower density side is a dematting rake for stubborn matts and tangles. The higher density side is a detangler, deshedding tool, or undercoat rake for faster results thinning and to control shedding. Skin Safe:This undercoat rake is a great tool to use on your dog. It has a dual-sided comb that is designed to remove mats and tangles and groom your dog’s coat. It has a nine-tooth comb and a 17-tooth blade, which is perfect for removing mats and tangles. The rounded teeth on the rake gently massage your pet’s skin and don’t hurt. It is skin-safe and comfortable for your doodle. Now, I’m excited to share my knowledge and experience with you through my blog on dog training and dog care. PAIN FREE PET GROOMING - Customize our matted fur remover by holding the handles together for smaller hairballs on smaller dogs for cats, or hold the handle apart to widen the blade surface combing area. The unique design won't scratch your pet's skin or yank and pull on hair.

The brush has blades, nested inside the curl of the brush head, and therefore you must use caution when getting close to your pups skin or paws. Between the blades there are dull metal "twisties" that seem to be there to further break up tangles. These will definitely pull hair out - as opposed to cut or thin out - if the area is really matted rather than just tangled. So you don't want to pull too hard with this brush or a matted area could just get ripped out causing some pain to your dog. Ergonomic Handle:The handle of this tool is 8″ long and 2.625″ wide with an ergonomic design. You can comfortably grip the tool and use it for grooming your doodle. Stainless Steel Edge:The FURminator is a heavy-duty deshedding tool for dogs. It uses a single row of metal teeth to remove loose hair underneath the topcoat. The teeth of the FURminator are made of stainless steel, which is very safe for your dog’s skin. It can easily reach inside your dog’s coat and remove all the mats and tangles.
