About this deal

You’ll want to make your long rectangle into a loop for the headband, so fold it in half, line up the edges, and pin them together. Sew with a 1/2″ seam allowance and then press your seams flat and top stitch each flap flat so the underside looks like what you see above. Draw a squiggly line with puffy paint across the elastic. This can be a smooth, wavy line or a sharp, zigzag line. Don't draw a straight line, however, or the paint will break when you put the elastic headband on. [10] X Research source BRAIDED SATIN lined TURBAN, Full Coverage Cap, Pre-tied Womens Stretchy, chemo gift, twisted hat, alopecia, protective styling, post surgery So I love these. But this would take like a year for me to make. Not 5-10 minutes. I don’t sew. I don’t own a sewing machine. But I would buy these from you. Would u be willing to sell?

There’s no doubt that headbands have become an accessory du jour. From turban-inspired to bejeweled and knotted bands (like these from Oprah’s latest Favorite Things list), they're a chic yet useful addition to your wardrobe. Turn the headband right-side-out and wear it. The Velcro will now act like the tiny hooks on a plastic headband. It will grab onto your hair, and help keep the headband in place! [13] X Research source Apply a light misting of hairspray, then let it dry. Focus the hairspray on the top and sides of your head, where the headband will sit. Don't worry about your nape or the bun/ponytail itself. [2] X Research source Cut a large rectangle of flannel that is 6″ x 27″ for the main body of the headband. If you have a serger sewing machine, sew around the outside of the rectangle to keep the edges from fraying, and if you don’t have a serger, use a zig-zag stitch on your regular machine around the edges instead.

Puffy paint can take several hours to dry, so be patient. As it dries, it will look a little darker and flatter.I’ve got to say that I’m pretty proud of myself here … it looks so profesh! I love that it helps keep shorter pieces and flyaways out of my face while I wash my hair (or you can use it while applying makeup as well), and I can throw it in the wash as needed with my washcloths and reusable makeup wipes.
