Rain stop flysheet doors – The doors have been designed so that rain will not drop into the inner when opened Don’t pitch too close to water: Rivers and lakes can increase humidity. Pitching your tent, a little further away from water sources can help reduce condensation. It handles the wind very well and also the rain. The internal support straps mean that it doesn't move at all in the wind but is low enough for that not to matter. Condensation can be made worse when the air outside the tent is significantly cooler than inside, especially after a warm, humid day. On days where there is a substantial temperature drop, it can be challenging to prevent tent condensation forming.

Used the Vango Tempest 200 for the first time last week wild camping and it performed superbly. Easy to erect in well under 10 mins and very cosy to sleep in. Built tough and sturdy, it has a ripstop flysheet, with Yunan Eco Alloy poles as well as many more technical features. The Venturi Vent System creates a more comfortable environment inside, by reducing the build-up of condensation.

i say buy an extra tent and extra bag and strap it onto the the dog and make it carry it for you then give the dog its own room to stink up haha The tension bands are a good addition to the stability of the tent but being a tunnel I have not ever managed to get the main tent section really tight which can make the tent quite noisy in strong winds.Store wet stuff outside: Towels, boots, waterproofs, swimming trunks, sweaty friends… keep that soggy, wet stuff out of the tent. I'm a DofE Leader and I bought 8 Tempests to go with out 4 Banshees. I wish I'd bought Banshees instead. The Tempest is bigger (and a little heavier) so it's better for three teenagers, and it has a porch. But it doesn't perform as well in the wet and wind as the Banshee. The size of the Camp bed / bedding you are using [as these will take up more room]. To give a good idea, a standard double airbed can take up the space of around 3 people. The sleeping area is a good size, with room for one person and plenty of gear, or two people with gear in the porch. Not suitable for 3 people as it would be too snug.

The tent pitched in 10-15 minutes, really easy to do alone, which is great. Poles nicely colour coded so you can't get it wrong! The ground sheet seemed thinner than the older style sheets used in the previous Vango tents, but then I haven't bought one in years, so maybe it's just an upgrade of materials. It withstood the rain and muddy ground very well. I'll be interested to see if it is as long-lasting. The size of bedroom you may need has many factors. Tent manufacturers show the size as a maximum amount of people and will not consider for any extra space you may need.You can cook in the porch but there isn't much room. Nobody could get past you if you were cooking in there. The outer door rolls to the side so you can't put poles under it to have a more covered entrance. Pitch in a spot that gets a natural breeze: Sheltered areas are more prone to generating condensation. Pitch your tent so that vents are lined up with the prevailing winds. Don’t touch the sides: If pressure is applied to the tent walls of a polycotton tent, water may seep through.
