There’s more to us than the Sept 27 (and Google) connection, I believe. I am excited how we think similar – and often, express similar. Blessed to know you, Paige! and because of this, when they finally did have sex, i couldn’t have cared less. there was no tension. i was falling asleep because i felt like i’ve already read this 100000000 times in harry’s internal monologue.

I think what I want Disneyland to be most of all is a happy place – a place where adults and children can experience together some of the wonders of life, of adventure, and feel better because of it.” ― Walt Disney to me, wyn was very absent from the book. especially in the “real life” chapters. he’s harriet’s fixation, but i don’t really feel like i know him. despite seeing how they got together, i still didn’t feel connected to his character. i wanted more from him. i enjoyed him more at the beginning when they were younger and everything was fresh between them, but this didn’t translate the whole way through. i get what he was going through at the end, but his character still felt very one dimensional to me. wyn is a sexy lamp. The side characters had no personality whatsoever. They felt very flat and boring. Sabrina was controlling and kind of bitchy. Parth had zero personality. Cleo and Kimmy were okay, until I felt like they were not a lesbian couple, but a heterosexual couple where one of them is a guy with a girl's name. Don't come at me for this, I just felt it like that. I did enjoy when Sabrina was called out. I get that they were in that trip mourning their youth and trying to have a good time, but goddamn it was painful. I just could not stand them. Trust me, I'm good at mourning my wasted and non existent youth, but this was pure hell. These quotes will surely help you to discover your happy place where you can go and feel happy. Happy Place Quotes And Sayings and now that i have read this book twice and it is now out in the world, i have the following to say: A happy place means a memory, situation, place, or activity which makes you feel calm, happy, and relaxed. We all have that one place that we consider a happy place. This may be your home, a holiday destination (beach, mountain, beach), or your workplace. Now that you’ve slowed things down and given your mind more productive things to think about, you can move to your happy place.

i’m sure i forgot something and i’ll definitely come update this but at the end of it i do still love emily henry as an author and i will continue to read whatever she publishes. Social media, cause tell me why I thought of wyn the second I saw someone selling their tables on tinder?? Her stories have all felt magical to me. Bar You and Me on Vacation, but we’re not talking about that book. I love how this felt so slice of life. So vulnerable, so intimate and human and ordinary in a way that’s true to real life. I know I’m reading something wonderful when I find myself pausing, taking a moment to sit with the story and reflect on my own life. like that exact situation happened at least 3 times. that’s not a lot, but it’s strange it’s happened thrice.also all the shit with her being dramatic and assuming shit and whatnot made me want to smash my head into a very solid wall. I agree that meditation, deep breathing and EFT are incredibly helpful in slowing down our minds and putting some objectivity into emotional situations. No one is perfect and we all lose sight of the simple tools that we carry around with us. That’s why they’re called “practices.” We keep practicing and refining but there is no perfect standard to achieve. Just do your best each day knowing that’s the best you can do. overall, this book was phenomenal and i absolutely adored it, EH writing is just *chefs kiss* if you’re looking for a romance galore book i’m sorry to say this book isn’t for you, this book explores more about a friend group and their dynamics, growing up and letting go. i will keep saying, HER BOOKS ARE 100% MORE WOMEN’S FICTION, THE ROMANCE IS JUST A PLUS!! After a sold out debut in two LA locations, HAPPY PLACE took it’s bright colors and it’s message of positivity on tour — selling out a number of venues in Chicago, Toronto, Boston, Las Vegas, Philadelphia, and even Sydney, Australia. However, Harriet and Wyn’s love story didn’t feel as earned as the romances in Henry’s other novels. Because the narrative relied heavily on the tensions of their fake dating and shared past, the chemistry between them did not have time to mature and develop. While in previous Henry novels, the witty banter between the characters serves to introduce the tension and personalities, the banter between Harriet and Wyn as they fake a happy relationship for their friends felt out of place. Their slow burn romance did not feel like something that had to be earned, and therefore the Happily Ever After, while satisfying, did not feel as deserved.

That’s a great definition Michael! Being at peace implies complete acceptance and love – first for ourselves, then for others. This can be difficult for many without daily practice. Don’t you know that we must always have a place where we never go but where we think we’d be happy if we did?” ― Nicolas Chamfortwyn’s constant need to feel loved or feel like he matters, and harriet’s constant fear that she will make people around her unhappy—i feel like it will eventually crash and burn again. wyn’s dad dying was a sort of superficial wound because it was an external circumstance/dent in their relationship. harriet quitting her job (although she was unhappy) also feels like a bit of an over-correction and a bandaid to the true problem. You sometimes think of a happy place as a physical place, and it can certainly be that. Taking a walk in nature. Playing with our kids. Having coffee and a great conversation with a friend. Hope you loved this collection of happy place quotes. If you haven’t found yours yet, time to explore and find it soon. So many of his details are slightly different, but my heart still sees him and whispers into my veins, You." In this chat with Fearne, Ellie and her mum Yvonne talk about the obstacles she’s overcome to grace the covers of Vogue and Glamour, as well as become the UK ambassador for a Barbie doll based on a person with Down’s Syndrome.

My happy place in my mind is with my grandchildren or a vacation memory with hubs. My physical happy place is anywhere enjoying nature. I wish I knew about happy places when I was a kid. Our furry friends can work miracles for us. I’ve done a lot of therapeutic work with horses (helping people) and I always felt like it was just as much calming and centering therapy for me as it was for the participants. His love is steady, constant. Easier than breathing, because breathing is something you can overthink, to the point that you forget how your lungs work and get yourself into a panic. I could never forget how to love Wyn.”Every touch, every word had its own importance in the way their relationship flourished and tarnished. Their love had an elegiac tone in how Harriet was describing the "lose" of the love of her life in the present chapters and an eternal essence in how their love seemed unbreakable in the past chapters.
