I’ve read and enjoyed books by Cathy Glass before so I was intrigued to read her first thriller under her author name of Lisa Stone. The Darkness Within has a premise at its heart that will probably divide opinions, that people who have organ transplants somehow take on parts of the personality of their donor. Sadly, I am pleased that I didn't pay for the book and that I am reviewing it for Netgalley for free. There is so much wrong with this book I hardly know where to start.There’s nothing to really see in this corridor after the little sequence finishes. Take the first door to your left. The plot is a classic, which is why it has to be done particularly well and ideally with a creative twist to set it apart from the rest - sadly, this version just didn't have that.
