About this deal

The Dry Standard 3-Tier Heated Airer is a practical solution for drying clothes indoors. With its sufficient size and capacity, it offers enough hanging space to accommodate a moderate load of laundry, making it suitable for small to medium-sized households. I was skeptic about purchasing this but glad I did. With the British weather being ON OFF, and not wanting to put the heating on to dry my clothing, this is perfect. It doesn’t get as hot as a radiator so it takes longer to dry and you have to turn the laundry few times for it to dry but I do the same when using the radiator. I managed to dry my duvet cover in 2hrs otherwise it would have taken 2 days. It is light weight but a bit flimsy so be gentle with it" Efficient Drying: When it comes to drying your laundry, speed is of the essence. Traditional clothes airers can take an eternity, especially in chilly weather. But fear not, for heated clothes airers are here to save the day! Equipped with powerful heating elements, these wonders can swiftly raise the temperature to dry your clothes in a fraction of the time. No more waiting around for days; you'll have warm, dry laundry in no time! Protect your clothes:The Status winged heated airer cover helps to protect your clothes from dust and dirt, and it also helps to reduce wrinkles.

Win: The Homefront Clothes Airer offers a generous size and capacity, providing ample space for drying a significant amount of laundry. It is designed to accommodate multiple garments simultaneously, making it suitable for large loads. Of course, that's a tad misleading...It can dry larger items like sheets, duvets and towels, but you'd have to drape them from the top. Bought this for our static caravan and it’s brilliant. Doesn’t need to be on long before the towels are dry and very economical to run"

There are two main types of heated clothes airer: heated bar clothes airers and drying pods. Both work very differently. Like with anything that emits heat, electric clothes dryers can be fire hazards when left on for too long.

Win: This clothes airer is built with sturdy construction, providing stability and durability during use. It is designed to withstand the weight of wet laundry without bending or collapsing, offering a reliable drying solution. Energy Efficiency: Consider models that are designed to be energy-efficient, consuming less power while still delivering excellent drying results. This not only benefits the environment but also helps reduce your electricity bills.

Heated bar clothes airers use (as the name suggests) heated bars to dry clothes, with each one acting like a mini radiator. The total energy expenditure is 190 watts - which is around 3.5p an hour. This makes it 10x cheaper than some vented tumble dryers. It's also much cheaper than the other heated airers on our list. We selected the heated airers and drying pods from the most searched-for brands and popular UK retailers. Working days are defined as Monday-Friday 8am-7pm inclusive, excluding Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays. Next Day & Named Day Delivery If you already have a tumble dryer and are thinking of making a swap, it will also depend on what type of tumble dryer you already own.

We also love heated airers that can be folded and stored easily. This means that people in smaller households can put them away when they're not using them. How long does it take to dry clothes on an electric heated airer?Win: The Status Clothes Airer offers a decent size and capacity, providing sufficient drying space for a moderate amount of laundry. It can accommodate multiple garments, making it suitable for small to medium-sized loads. Some look like a tower, which typically affords more drying space for the room they take up, but they can be less accommodating of larger items such as dresses, towels and bedsheets. Save money:The Status winged heated airer is much cheaper to run than a tumble dryer, so you can save money on your energy bills. With the days getting greyer and colder, a heated air dryer like this one from Argos can be helpful in avoiding damp-smelling clothes.

It features 18 bars so it should give you enough space to hang your clothes and it's also compact enough when it's time to store it. This clothes dryer provides up to 21 metres of drying space and comes complete with a cover, which helps clothes dry faster. Can heated clothes airers save you money? Our testing found heated clothes airers will cost about half as much money to run as a drying pod. But the savings reduce dramatically for larger laundry loads, where you'd need to use the heated airer multiple times to dry a load that could fit in the tumble dryer in one go.Adjustable Temperature Settings: Ensure that the heated clothes airer you choose offers adjustable temperature controls. This feature allows you to customize the drying process based on the fabric type and the level of drying required. Unfortunately, jeans can take up to 36-hours to get dry. That might be o.k if you get them started on a washing line and bring them inside when the weather turns (especially if you don't have a tumble dryer). You might look at this drying pod and think, what on earth is that? And that's valid because it looks a bit odd. If you live somewhere with short ceilings, then it's worth adding a heated airer that has wings over tiers.
