About this deal

Okay, so I punish myself with the cryptic clues whereas he prefers the more literal quiz. And he goes straight for the killer-dokus whilst I mosey through the intermediate options. But we both love Rummikub and Rummikub Word is a really interesting twist on the solid gameplay of the original.

All tiles in play must be arranged in sets of at least three tiles. The two valid set types are called runs and groups. In Turkey, the game is known as Okey and is widely played by families at gatherings or at local cafes. During a player's turn, sets of tiles that have already been played may be manipulated to allow more tiles to be played. At the end of the turn, all played tiles must be in valid sets. In Rummikub Word, just like its numeric cousin, your objective is to get rid of all your tiles. You do this by making complete words (“melding”) consisting of at least 3 letters or adding your tiles to existing words already on the table (“manipulating”). You don’t have to add tiles just to the ends of existing words – you can break them up and re-jig them and basically insert your tiles wherever you can fit them. Includes 10 supported languages - English, German, French, Dutch, Korean, Chinese, Spanish, Polish, Turkish and Portuguese. Hertzano's Official Rummikub Book, published in 1978, describes three different versions of the game: American, Sabra, and International. Modern Rummikub sets include only the Sabra version rules, with no mention of the others, and there are variations in the rules between publishers. The game was first made by Lemada Light Industries Ltd, founded by Hertzano in 1978.

Split a run to play a duplicate tile. If you need to use up a tile that's already on the board in the middle of a run, split the run in half as long as it makes 2 complete sets of 3. [8] X Research sourceCreate your initial meld. The initial meld is the first time you lay down tiles on the board. You must have at least 30 points across one or multiple sets to make your initial meld. You can make groups, runs, or both for your initial meld. It's always an excellent service with brilliant products at a very competitive price - will use again! Add 1 or more tiles to a current set. The easiest way to play off a set on the table is to simply build off of it. You can add tiles to runs or groups, as long as you follow the basic rules of these sets.
