The magnificent catarrh has a new album, Smiler, and it contains what by now you would expect: several energetic new examples of the Stewart/Wood world view, a couple of boozy renditions of classic R&B standards, a sentimental soundalike of Rod’s smasheroo “Maggie May,” at least two ho-hum instrumental interludes lasting an average of less than a minute, plus at least one good old Dylan song and maybe a stray ballad or two. This must be Rod’s conception of what a well-rounded pop album should be. The shoot was amazing!!! It was so surreal being in poignant places in London with Sir Rod and seeing the publics reaction. I can’t wait to see the video! Holly’s first video shoot with Rod The tapes are sold along with photocopies of Jonathan Rowlands’ 1964 appointment book, detailing his meetings with Stewart. They are sold as collectors’ items only and no intellectual property rights are accompanied. I know Rod’s hits, but also couldn’t believe how many other songs I knew when I started going through his repertoire.Aww thank you so much! I haven’t played piano in quite a while and wouldn’t say I’m amazing but can play well enough to accompany myself. I used to perform a lot of solo gigs so would accompany myself then.
