Think about how Mr Bear will sleep the next night. Ask your child, “Will there be different sounds keeping Mr Bear awake? What might they be?” Jill Murphy wrote and published 'Peace At Last' in 1980 - it was her first book. You might know Jill Murphy as the author of the super popular "The Worst Witch" series. The moon is shown in a number of illustrations. Use a book about space to find out about the moon and how it affects us here on Earth. fThe twins love this book. Whenever we read it they copy the sounds the bears make especially Mr Bears phrase "Oh no, I can't stand this". We have borrowed this book from the library approximately 3 times. Its a great book to settle them to bed Find out about animals that are nocturnal. What do they do at night time? What do they do during the day?

Design a machine that might help Mr Bear sleep. You could use this example from Wallace and Gromit to give you some ideas: I remember having this book read to is at nursery at "story time" and absolutly loved it. I read it to my 8 month old son for the first time last night and he loved it too, especially the noises the refrigerator and the owl makes :)

We got this book in a bundle of books when my son was very little. We often read this story together and my son really seems to enjoy it. He particularly enjoys it when I make lots of silly noises. He's particularly taken with mama bears snoring! My three year old daughter and I loved reading this together. It's witty and the pictures are fun and I loved the way it relates to everyday family life! At least in our house. (Not counting the snoring mummy of course!)
