Armistice Day: A Collection of Remembrance - Spark Interest and Educate Children about Historical Moments This book oozes personality and with so much going on it promises to maintain the attention of young readers for hours at a time Humza (aka Little Badman) great ambition is to be a super cool rapper and he devotes most of his time and energy on pursuing this goal.

You've probably heard of me, right? Little Badman. No? Oh. Well . . . doesn't Matter. You will do one day. I'm gonna be big.' I'm Humza Khan, the greatest eleven-year-old rapper Eggington ever had. I've also faced deadly alien slugs, killer aunties and double maths. But now, I (and my best friend Umer I guess) face something even scarier - my dad! He's pretty fed up with us being naughty, so he's sending us away . . . to school. But this is not ordinary school. This is a special summer school in Pakistan, and man something weird is going on - someone has been messing with time! I may have to save the world again . . .' Fast-paced and funny, readers are immediately swept into Humza’s world and really feel for him and his various troubles, like his super-strict dad and adults not listening properly. Full of action and humour, but perhaps best of all is how Humza grows and changes through the story, and gets his dad to too. You're a comedian for adults, so how much of a challenge was it to make sure your jokes and dialogue were suitable for a younger audience in this book? How did your collaboration with Henry White work in creating and writing the story?Hello Yellow - 80 Books to Help Children Nurture Good Mental Health and Support With Anxiety and Wellbeing - Humza Khan is the greatest eleven-year-old rapper Eggington has ever known: he is Little Badman and he is destined to be rich and famous. You have been trouble since the day you were born. I have told your mother: you needdiscipline! Pakistan is the only place you will receive a proper upbringing!” his fatherdeclares, and Little Badman is less than happy: “And, yeah, I know I’m Pakistani and all, but Iain’t from Pakistan. It’s as foreign to me as it would be to anyone else who grew up in theUK. Home for me is Poundland, and Argos and KFC (the halal ones at least). What the hellwas I gonna do in Pakistan?”

In Little Badman and the Rise of the Punjabi Zombies, caretaker Mr Kapoor mentions the Partition that took place in India in 1947. Here, we’ve shared the afterword from the book, which provides a more detailed overview of the historic event, written by Swapna Haddow. You've probably heard of me, right? Little Badman. No? Oh. Well. . . Doesn't matter. You will do one day. I'm gonna be big. I'm Humza Khan, the greatest eleven-year-old rapper Eggington has ever known; soon everyone will know my name. But Humza’s famous for telling not-entirely-true stories: how’s he going to get anyone to believe him? Recruiting his best friend Umer, his elderly uncle ‘Grandpa’ and Wendy, the smartest girl in school, it seems Humza’s particular musical talent is the only thing that will save his school, town – and possibly the whole world – from potential alien invasion. As long as he doesn’t let stage fright defeat him first… Praise for Little Badman and the Invasion of the Killer Aunties, one of The Guardian's 100 best holiday books for 2019 Why did you decide to write the story of Little Badman? (please tell us about Diary of a Badman here, as not all readers will know of him!)

Amusing, annoying, I don't know. I was always making people laugh when I was a kid, that's what I was good at, that's why I became a comedian. Yes Little Badman is little Humza. At least Humza has found someone to help with his homework. It's just a shame this friend isn't exactly . . . alive. What effect do you think not seeing someone a bit like you in a book had on your reading as a child? A hilarious and fast-paced adventure from comedian Humza Arshad and screen writer Henry White, perfect for fans of David Solomons and David Baddiel.

I'm Humza Khan, the greatest eleven-year-old rapper Eggington ever had. I've also faced deadly alien slugs, killer aunties and double maths. Henry and I want to send little Humza on another crazy adventure, where he'll cause havoc, make a mess, get told off but learn something new about himself. Watch this space...Alongside the outrageous antics, whip-smart dialogue, and Little Badman’s irrepressiblepersonality, there’s a wonderful grandfather-grandson relationship and representation ofLittle Badman’s engagement with Pakistan. Full marks! I know it's probably not the right thing to say honestly not seeing someone in a book that looked like me definitely meant that I didn't read many books growing up. I read Roald Dahl, Harry Potter but maybe if I had found a book with an Asian kid on the cover I might have read more because I would have found books I could relate to. You know, someone that spoke about gulab jamun's and shalwar kameezs' might have got my attention! He's already been out rap-battled by the school bully, laughed at by his classmates. Oh, and we haven't even mentioned the ancient magical orb causing havoc and very possibly leading to world destruction. Something weird is happening at school though: teachers are disappearing and being replaced by food-obsessed Aunties intent on fattening everyone up! When his music teacher vanishes, putting a halt to Humza’s rapper dreams, he’s determined to figure out what’s going on – and then things start to get really crazy...
