Made for comfortable family camping, the Hi Gear Zenobia Eclipse 6 is a spacious 6-person tent with a central lobby and vis-a-vis bedrooms, with ample room for your gear, your furniture and yourselves. The Zenobia 6 is a tunnel tent design, making it easy to pitch (see instructions on pitching a tunnel tent).

It has two separate bedrooms and one large living space, and each of the three entrances features a double-door. Have you been to a shop like Cotswold? You'll get good advice there and an excellent range. All their tents come with a spec of the tent (weight, waterproofing etc...)As we were on a budget we didn't buy the porch but I wish we had. The tent was spacious enough for the 5 of us but in the rain it would have made it better. The tent stayed dry in full on rain and wind. We didn't buy the bespoke carpet and ground sheet. Instead bought cheaper smaller ground sheets and used cheap picnic blankets. Worked fine Fully Fire Retardant – Flysheet, Bedrooms, Mesh and Groundsheet ALL now fully fire retardant to British Standards. The Hi Gear tent range are winners of the 2020 Best Family Tent award from the Camping and Caravan Club.

Zenobia 8: this a great tent with awesome bedroom space. You can comfortably put 3 large campbeds in each end pod with reasonable space between them. Very easy to pitch and take down (took us about 25 mins) with 5 fibreglass poles which are all the same size. Another great option from Vango, this technical poled tent can sleep up to six but would perhaps be more comfortable for a family of four with additional living space. If you'd like to treat yourself to a classic cotton canvas tent, the Emperor tent from Hi-Gear could comfortably sleep a large family plus a few friends thrown in too. We bought one of the first Zeobia 6 tents. It has proved wonderful & spacious for the 2 of us. It definitely needs 2 people to pitch it. For one person it would be a very long job! A roomy family tent with generous headroom, comfy bedrooms and plenty of space for you and your gear. As for ventilation, there are various air vents, I do like te window vents that help a lot keeping a steady airflow across the living area and the bedrooms. Weather Protection That got us thinking though, that we’re looking at every possible item from Hi-Gear so it would be good to narrow our search down even further and only look at Hi-Gear branded products within the 5 – 6 Person Tents category. Just a note about guy rope tension. I've noticed from pictures posted that many people have their guys too tight resulting in misshapen tents and porches. These tents pretty much stand up on their own. The guys are really only a stability aid, and an adjuster to help things stand upright and also to stop the tent taking off in the wind. They don't need to be taut like a guitar string. Personally, I adjust them so they are just straight, rather than drooping, but not TIGHT tight. There’s so much information available online when we’re shopping now, that it’s easy to find lots of detail about products like Hi-Gear Zenobia 6 Nightfall Tent. This is of course really helpful, but there’s almost too much information available, so it’s important to know exactly what you’re looking for. We bought one of the first Zeobia 6 tents. I would strongly recommend that if you have the time familiarise your self with the correct fitting by installing prior to your first outing will save you loads of time and undue frustration, There are however some methods that you can use to determine a product’s quality without needing to physically have it. The space inside is good though, it did the job we wanted, we easily fitted our kitchen unit and table/chairs in too with space between. The windows are really good, large with covers for night times which we liked, and a large door. Delivered Monday to Saturday 8am-8pm, excluding bank holidays.
