PPS I couldn't resist gushing even though I've barely read 2/3 of chapter 1 while I'm writing this down! Edit (after half a yr and chapter 2!_ GROWL. Gimme him! The male lead cannot be more desirable... well he can, but he would have to moon over his unrequited feelings more intensely and then do a couple of those passionate reflex moves like cornering the heroine and forcing her to look at him in a more-than-friends light. Aaagh! I melt.

Among so many characters and couples, it is entertaining to choose some (MisakixAyumi forever) and have fun seeing how the boys are the ones who chase the girls, and they seem to hold the relationship, while the boys wait to confess, hold hands, first kiss...wait, I'm still talking about Kai... But I am enjoying reading this, for me I think the best thing about this manga are the characters. They are all likable and the female lead though feisty is not overbearing nor annoying, her longtime one-sided crush is quite painful to see but she holds herself strong and is quite Hatsu Haru is a shining jewel in the treasure chest of shoujo romances in a school setting. Though I’m possibly getting a bit ahead of myself given its newness (the first chapter released nary 10 days ago) I cannot help but be drawn to its novelty, its gaiety and its overall awesome-sauce-ness!

However, he runs into a challenge after meeting Riko, who wants nothing to do with his nonsense. His Second Japanese Voice Actor, Makoto Furukawa, also voiced Lei Bin in the Dynasty Warriors series, Yūjin Ōzora in Digimon Universe: Appli Monsters, Ares in Warriors Orochi, Seiji Shishikura in My Hero Academia, Saitama in One Punch Man, Taiju Oki in Dr. Stone, Yoshitora Tokugawa in Samurai Shodown V, Miyuki Shirogane in Kaguya-sama: Love is War, Benimaru in That Time I Got Reincarnated As a Slime, Achilles in Fate/Apocrypha, and Creek in Trolls. The characters are fun and the plot isn't heavy, making this a breeze to finish! This is by far one of the better shoujo mangas I've read. To say the art is good would be akin to me calling the first mango you bite into when summer starts satisfying. Yes it’s good, but it’s so much more than just clean, elegant lines or cute fluffy hairstyles! The expressions, the actions and gestures, the uniqueness of each character’s looks and how they correspond with their character traits and the laugh-out-loud reactions that Takanashi constantly bombards our hapless Kai with cement this title’s place in the archives under top ten shoujo titles you can read for the art alone. Maid-Sama! is one of the greatest shojo manga series of the 2000s. The series stars Misaki, a hot-headed student council president who pulls no punches in dealing with her school's chaotic male students. Though she's intimidating at school, she works at a maid café on the side to make ends meet and support her sister.
