About this deal

The Edifier comes with a Bluetooth 5.3 connection, which is currently the most up-to-date version available, and I’ve had no issues so far as the W240TN has performed very reliably in busy areas. The buds only support the SBC codec, which is the lowest quality Bluetooth codec. Is that a significant issue? Perhaps if you’re listening to higher quality music services but even then, the driver design will have more of an impact on what you hear. The case has a soft touch finish with some nice curves and the case is not too large you can fit the case into your jeans without any issue. The size of the case measures 2.3 x 1.7x 1.1 inches and it’s lightweight at only 39.6g. What I really love about this case is the designer must have been a KnightRider fan as it has a LED strip that reminds me of Kit from the TV classic apart from the fact it’s a white light instead of red but it’s still very cool. Edifier employs hybrid ANC to eliminate vast amounts of ambient noise. How well does the technology perform? Much better than the price suggests.

While they come in at the same price, the Jabra Elite 3's 6mm driver is only as large as the smaller driver in the Edifier W240TNs coaxial driver arrangement. Both have 2 mics per bud, mono mode, ANC and transparency modes. The Elite 3s have less battery life in the buds, but the extra juice the case has gives them 3 more hours of life overall. The product image is for illustration purposes only. The actual product may vary in size, color, and layout. No claim will be accepted for an image mismatch. Edifier has also provided the user with transparency mode otherwise known as an ambient mode which provides you with a hiss-free implementation with no lag and built-in mics that let me hear a conversation even when am pretending not to listen to that conversation in the office. The Edifier App The W240TN exhibit fantastic build quality. They're ruggedly handsome and small compared to other oval-shaped wireless earbuds, and feature an aluminum housing and integrated multifunctional button. Attached is a sturdy plastic cavity that carries most of the hardware and they're rated at IP55, which guarantees dust and waterproof protection. There’s also a customizable EQ, but it’s a bit more complex than some other EQs as it uses unusual terms to describe level and frequency adjustment parameters that may make casual listeners feel overwhelmed. You can set a time to switch off automatically before going to bed to avoid the over-time sound, or set a time to switch off to avoid excessive use to protect the hearing. Two brand-new functions for options

Sound volume was a little low. Maybe because I normalize all my albums to give close to the same sound level. This drops most music by 6 to 9 dB. So in USB Audio Player Pro (the music APP I use most), I set the pre-gain to 9dB. Doing this gave me plenty of volume at around 90% output. And normal listening volume at around 70% volume. You cannot assign individual functions to individual earbuds, thereby limiting the onboard controls. First thing I did was replace the narrow diameter/bore eartips with ones with a 5mm diameter. This brought out a much better and unrestricted sound. I have no idea why they give you tips that restrict the sound.Creative's Outlier Pros come in at about ten dollars more than the W240TNs, but focus more on extended battery, and less on sound quality. The Creative app gives you more control customization options, allowing custom left and right controls compared to the unified control scheme Edifier gives you. Under IP55 rate, dust and water won't stop the W240TN, you can enjoy outdoor activities and gym sessions. I used the W240TN mostly at home. The buzzing noises from my AC condenser and washing machine were silenced, along with most of the family chatter that transpired in different rooms. Even my toddler’s electronic toys weren’t distracting. Not everything was silenced. High-frequency sounds like baby cries and iPhone ringers at max volume were enough to break my concentration during office hours. Like the recently released Soundcore Life A3i, the Edifier W240TN is a pair of stemless wireless earbuds with Active Noise Cancelling, a Transparency mode and actual buttons instead of touch panels. It's a combination that sets it apart from most competitors in the market.

The charging case is just as attractive. It is rectangular with rounded edges and has a pulsating LED that gives off 1980s TV show Knight Rider vibes. It feels nice in the hand and sturdy enough to survive tumbles to the concrete. Strong magnets keep the buds latched onto their charging slots and the lid shut tight. The earbud is inspired of implied-strength of locomotive pistons , couple with the delicate appearance of trapezoidal ring, showcasing a sense of exclusivity and allowing you to demonstrate your personality. The charging case is equipped with dynamic light bars while the light effects also inform the state of the earbuds. Physical buttons and ring shape are incorporated within the design to ensure the control accuracy. Ultra-Low Latency Gaming – Fragging with Minimal Delays From brands as diverse as 1More, Earfun, OneSonic, and Ugreen, we’ve seen plenty try to wade in on the cheap noise-cancelling bandwagon – does the Edifier manage to jump on? Design Thanks to its design, as well as its stable and secure fit, the W240TN’s noise-cancelling performance mostly impresses. Walking about with them in central London, the ANC thins out vehicles on the road without erasing them from your general vicinity, and they do this without applying a noise-cancelling ‘whine’, so what you get here is a fairly clean performance.

The midrange doesn’t accomplish much aside from some surprisingly clear vocals. I was worried that the W240TN could delve too far into dullness, but that never happened throughout my testing. I think there are some good details here that deliver some surprising bite, especially with crunchy distorted guitars, and of course crisper vocals. Vocals take an immediate dominance in the sound signature, and the focus is warranted, especially with how cleanly they come through. It is definitely the most realistic timbre in this frequency response. Highs Walks were mostly peaceful. Landscaping tools and the construction work that took place on the Intracoastal Waterway were unnoticeable. I couldn’t say the same for ambulance sirens and police whistles, but neither of those noises was piercingly loud. Wind resistance wasn’t half bad either. Whisking effects produced in gusty conditions didn’t harm my hearing, and those that came from speeding cars barely made it onto the soundscape.

Armed with a 10mm woofer and 6mm tweeter, the Edifier W240TN could be classified as a warm sonic bath. Part of that is also down to its support for the SBC codec, which isn’t the highest quality, but the way the Edifier is tuned appears to be more towards bass, giving them a rich quality to their sound. Even after twisting and turning the buds and trying to find the magical position that would be the most ergonomic for my ears, I was unsuccessful. You may look sleek with the Edifier W240TN buds on, but that style comes at a cost. You'll definitely need to take breaks every one to two hours while wearing these wireless earbuds. The Edifier W240TN doesn't just combine the best aspects of the energetic low-budget Edifier X3s , the warm Edifier TWS2 NB and the treble-intensive Edifier TWS1 Pro ; it sounds better then all of them. We discussed the adjustable EQ and that is where the Edifier App comes into play it provides you with all the features you want the home screen allows you to monitor battery levels, switch on ANC or transparency mode, and that customizable EQ in which you can adjust the sound to suit your needs. Two preset EQ sound effects are available and more EQ settings can be adjusted by your favor via Edifier Connect App. Shutdown timer function is featured
