On Duet 2 WiFi and Ethernet production boards, the holes are isolated and not plated through. On pre-production Duet 2 WiFi boards, the mounting holes are plated-through and connected to the ground plane. The duex.estop pins are routed through the I2C expander on the DueX. The exp.e[x]stop pins on the Duet expansion header become the CS pins on the DueX temp daughterboard connector.

The DueX2 or DueX5 is supported in firmware 1.16 and later. You must upgrade your firmware if you are using an earlier version. Once the magnets are in place, you can simply put the DUEX Max in place. It holds reasonably well, but not as well as the DUEX Plus, a smaller 1.3 lbs unit. The DUEX Plus still doesn't weigh much, but the metal pads on the unit have no raised edges, so the screen can slide a few millimeters.
