About this deal

A Nissan Juke has a much more pleasantambience, as does the Skoda Kamiq and VW T-Roc. Interior overview

The Vauxhall Crossland's entry-level 1.2 (110PS) Turbo produces 109bhp, and we think it's the best option based oncost and performance. The upshot is an interior that’s a mish-mash of fonts, grains and finishes, and that has a handful of quietly classy and stylish touches but just as many hard, shiny plastics. The overall impression of the cabin is agreeable and inoffensive, with a good ergonomic layout and instruments that are visible and readable – and you can’t say all of that about a Peugeot 2008.With an NCAP rating of 5 stars, you can be assured that you, your family and your friends are kept safe with extensive safety technology. In 2017, the Euro NCAP awarded the Crossland X an 85% adult occupancy score and 84% for child occupants. Keeping you safe, as standard, are six airbags, cruise control with a speed limiter, lane-departure warnings, fatigue detection systems and traffic sign recognition and displays. They’re designed to make sure even the safest and most experienced drivers are never caught off guard.

Because it’s a three-cylinder unit, the motor also revs quite sweetly and likes to be worked hard. But the throttle response is sufficiently soft at low and middling revs as to make the car feel like it’s surging off in a quite unpredictable fashion at times – at least until you get used to waiting for a second or so after any given pedal application before the engine’s response is fully delivered.

It’s a good-looking setup, with the centre console horizontally aligned to the driver for added functionality. High quality finishes are provided with chrome accents around the cluster and air vents, while the centrepiece of the interior is the touchscreen.

Whereas the Crossland X’s sibling models effectively come with their own data connection, you have to supply your own here. Casting an eye around the cabin’s fixtures and fittings reveals switchgear you’ll recognise from both PSA’s parts shelves (window switches, pedals, interior door handles) and Opel-Vauxhall’s (headlight controls, column stalks, heater controls). And the relatively bluff front end has received a Vauxhall grille and headlights to reasonable effect. But Vauxhall thinks the Mokka X is the more premium proposition and, in appearance, we’d agree. Combining its relatively small and efficient engines with readily available parts and reasonable insurance, the Crossland X speaks to a vast array of drivers looking to minimise everyday and long-term costs.

The Crossland loses more of its value over three years through depreciation than those rivals, so long term it's not going to be cheap to own if you're a cash buyer. Vauxhall's performance in our 2023 What Car? Reliability Survey wasn't great: it finished in 30th place (out of 32 manufacturers), beating only Alfa Romeo and Cupra. The Crossland'sengines officially average around 45mpg, which is competitive, but thePuma 1.0 Ecoboost 125 (which has mild-hybrid tech)ismore fuel efficient, with lower CO2 emissions. Vauxhall has added hooks on either side of the boot where you can keep shopping bags or car essentials neatly stored. Smaller items can be housed beneath the boot’s false floor, while some trims come with sliding rear seats that increase the boot space to 520 litres.

Elite adds dual-zone climate control, ambient interior lighting, driver’s centre armrest, Flex Floor adjustable-height boot floor, 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, rear parking sensors, an alarm and tinted rear windows. Lane-keeping assistance and lane-departure warning are standard, along with e-Call emergency response. You don’t get an alarm on Design trim. Buying and owning overviewThe Crossland X features an infotainment system with a DAB radio and Bluetooth connectivity that will keep your passengers content and entertained. All trims support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with simple controls that make life that little bit easier. But then, it does present enough rational arguments that it'll insinuate itself deep into many families' lives. Sensible ergonomics, practicality and a generally obliging nature play strongly here. Handy size means it'll fit city streets and parking spaces. Sharper intrusions can cause quite a nasty thump through the suspension, too, for which our test car’s 17in alloy wheels and 50-profile tyres cannot be entirely blamed. Instead, it would seem to hint at an underlying shortage of sophistication and tuning potential in the Crossland X’s suspension with which neither the latest Vauxhall Astra nor the Vauxhall Insignia suffered with. de satılan her 100 otomobilin 28'i Bursalı - Emre Özpeynirci".
