About this deal
What’s happening? In the summer of it’s 40th anniversary year, Brent Cross is pulling out all the stops. Punctuate your Big Weekend Shop with a sojourn to the centre’s 2500m squared beach bonanza. Expect Brazilian dancers, rollercoasters, beach buggy bumper cars, churros, fire eaters, fish and chips, pools and even a good old fashioned donkey ride. For sporting fans, Brent Cross are also screening fixtures from the Euros and the Rio Olympics, so you’re a trip to the shops won’t mean missing a single goal.

Street food vendors from Brixton Village offer an eclectic international menu, with something to suit every taste. Roma Tearne managed to use very few words but sent your mind spinning. Her powers of observation are quite unbelievable.Overall an enjoyable but not brilliant book – at first the book was very unconvincing and uninvolving, becoming more interesting as Alice and her mother emigrate and then a little implausible and conventional in Alice’s adulthood.
