About this deal

It takes between 6 and 36 hours for the grout to ‘surface set’ and can take up anywhere from 10 – 48 hours to fully cure. This also depends on the weather conditions, and it shouldn’t be applied if the temperature drops below 5℃. Epoxy grout requires sand to be mixed with an epoxy resin. There are often three components that require mixing together. These may be liquid or solids. Some online reviewers remark that it’s near impossible to spray all the contents out of the canister, especially the bottom third. Others say that they cut the container open and get at the mortar cement that way. Available in a natural colour, this patio grout is suitable for neatening up existing patios. It can be used with stone, slate, clay, concrete, terracotta and cobbles, and the colour blends well with weathered stone. It’s suitable for filling joints between 5 mm and 30 mm in width, with a minimum depth of 25 mm. Plus, it’s easy to apply.

To prepare your patio for grouting, pressure wash it to clean it and then scoop out any old and loose grout. Just squeeze/spray it out and apply through the nozzle. You can use this cement in any weather conditions, even wet weather and also put it on damp surfaces. After waiting for the mortar to cure, you can cover the grey colour with paint to make the group fit seamlessly into your stone colour.Covers an area from 2m 2 to 4.32 m 2 depending on the size of the slabs and the width and depth of the gaps between them. Though the two colours that Bostik patio grout comes in do suit most paver styles, it would be nice to have a wider variety of options, and whilst a curing time of 10 hours is far from the longest wait time we’ve seen, there are a few products that dry much faster! Colours For a smooth look to the grout, once all the water has drained away, go over the gaps with a flat tool to smooth everything out.

Traditional mortar mixes are available and the product we review in this category is one of these. This is where the sand and cement are pre-mixed in the correct ratio and you just add water and stir.

The best patio grouts can be applied in various weather conditions , including rain. This makes them easier to apply as you don’t need to wait for a dry day. I also recommend looking for grout that can be applied in various temperatures , from as low as 5°C.
